I'm not really doing XCOM modding at the moment. You are welcome to use my code, like it says in the FAQ. There's a WotC version that compiles but is completely untested at https://github.com/RossM/ShadowOpsPerkPack

How to edit the inis for LW Perk Pack GTS options to appear along with Shadow Ops GTS upgrades? Running a game with the classes of both mods but the lack of GTS upgrades for the LWPP is gimping me a bit.

@xylthixlm It was. I verified files through steam and still got the crash. I had to fully uninstall Shadow Ops LW and reinstall if for the game to not crash on loading.

@boisegangpc That's odd, XModBase is designed to be compatible with other mods using different versions.

I also had some crashes that I think may have had to do with XModBase updating for your LW2 pack, as suggested by someone on the r/XCOM subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/6brl5d/xcom_2_wont_launch/

I did uninstall this, which seemed to fix the problem.

Where does Controlled Detonation apply to? It doesn't say. I'm thinking it's either eInvSlot=Unknown or eInvSlot=SecondaryWeapon. Someone please help.

I've noticed a slight issue in that this mod and the Long War 2 version seem to have the same filenames or something, meaning that activating one auto-activates the other (or at least, that's what the mod launcher says) and to use them properly you have to actually unsubscribe from one of them.

exactly how I mused in the previous comment. Just remove the stated lines from the .ini and it'll work. Check the LW 2 version for some more info

Okay... So after rereading the description about five times, and only then the keyword 'replace' finally clicking, everything makes sense. Dark feels really stupid (as he should).
I'm guessing that just like with the LW2 version, removing the '+LWClasses' line from the XComGameCore.ini will allow the normal classes to start spawning again?

After the update, I can now train rookies into any of the LW classes. Ranger, Grenadier, Shinobi, etc.

Is there a way to expose these as just normal perks that soldiers can get from promotions? Kinda like putting Digital Warfare on every soldier's final promotion option.

Combat Engineer captain: Packmaster. Limited-use items in utility slots gain a bonus use.
Combat Engineer brigadier: Extra Munitions. All soldiers gain a free standard grenade on each mission.
Dragoon captain: Digital Warfare. Gain a second PCS slot.
Dragoon brigadier: Charge!. All soldiers get one use of Run and Gun each mission.
Hunter captain: Stalker. Gain +3 Mobility and +10 Aim while concealed.
Hunter brigadier: Survival Instinct. Injured soldiers gain +20 Defense and +10 Crit chance.
Infantry captain: Adrenaline Surge. Nearby squadmates get +10 Crit and +3 Mobility when you get a kill.
Infantry brigadier: Against the Odds. All soldiers gain +1 Aim per enemy the squad can see (max +15).

Hi I'm looking for what the GTS upgrades for these classes are, its said that they get two. The first one being for the class itself and the second one being for the whole of Xcom.

I tried looking at the individual mod links itself but the GTS skills don't seem to be listed. What are they?

I know how to make Infantry use pistol again in LW2. Go to Steam installation address:steamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\796592388\Config,

1, backup these files before you start.

2,Edit XComClassData.ini by notepad.exe, replace all the lines from ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon
to
ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_Utility, UtilityCat="pistol"
All pistol perks should work after replacement.

3,Edit XComGameData, remove this line
Items[1]=(Item="Pistol_CV")
This make you could remove pistol in secondary weapon slot.

The individual class mods are compatible, though I can't make any guarantees about balance. The item changes and crit chance change are redundant with changes in LW2 so I don't recommend using the pack mod (this one).

Is this mod compatible with the just released iteration of Long War 2?

I LOVE these classes. And would be far more than pleased to have them in my new campaign.

@Blastom This uses the Long War Perk Pack's implementation of Dense Smoke, so if it's bugging out you should report it to them.

Is there anyway to disable the dense smoke effect. Currently, it makes the game crash a lot :( Or someway to lower the hardware cost of it would be welcome, too.

@GetGased @Forest_noir If you want to add these classes to the LW classes rather than replacing them, I suggest installing the individual mods listed in the description instead of the pack.

Go to your Steam installation address:SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\790582498\Config. Find a files names "XComGameCore.ini", edit it by notepad.exe. Delete following lines:
+LWClasses="LW_Assault"
+LWClasses="LW_Shinobi"
+LWClasses="LW_Sharpshooter"
+LWClasses="LW_Ranger"
+LWClasses="LW_Gunner"
+LWClasses="LW_Grenadier"
+LWClasses="LW_Specialist"

IMO, hidden LW classes should not be a default setting. Lots of players would be confuse about losing LW classes, when they try this mod. Especially lack of guidance tell them why they are gone and how to get they back.

This is amazing mod, so much better, than vanilla and/or LW class rebalance. Combined with ABA I had a blast playin on Legend.
As a suggestion still I think all offencive abilities that give free actions still should go. I'm not sure about coup de grace (i think ponentially its still OP) but one time I got death from above on Dragoon and it was kinda snowbally, I killed 15 aliens in one turn once. I suppose getting it on Infantry will be just as devastating. Maybe limit it to 2 or 3 kills max.
Same should be done do CCS I think.
Other than that I cant stress what you did for me, its almost a second EU long war thanks to your mod.

Is it possible to make Barrage NOT destroy cover adjacent to the shooter? Or is that intended? Right now, barrage will blow away your own cover, unless the cover is indestructible, or your shooting at an angle.
