not work now (((
OldEnt 1 Nov, 2020 @ 12:40pm
There is nothing wrong in the mod itself. The only issue was either zip format which was unsupported by the new launcher or unsupported descriptor for whatever reason. I unpacked the mod, gave it a new descriptor and it works just fine.

I uploaded the repacked mod mod to GitHub, use green "Code" button and select download "zip" https://github.com/OldEnt/stellaris-advanced-terraforming . Feel free to use I guess.

So I tested this, and it seems it doesn't work past 2.7 updates. I don't know if the modder actually is active but it would be nice to get an update for the mod. It's really nice.
hyperion9710 15 May, 2020 @ 7:14am
Double-Checked, Definitely Works
hyperion9710 2 Apr, 2020 @ 7:15am
i already confirmed terraforming system worked until 2.5, and terraforiming system not changed, so it should be compatible, but at least version upgrade and check required, please?
falhxer 28 Mar, 2020 @ 9:47am
Very interesting then
pgames-food 26 Mar, 2020 @ 7:50pm

Shootnik 26 Mar, 2020 @ 11:32am

ZacharyBuilder 11 Jun, 2019 @ 5:08am

Rzabat 5 Jun, 2019 @ 8:55am
could this potentially be updated to 2.3?
키으기 2 Jan, 2019 @ 6:06am
Thank you I'll use it well
Atrion 22 Dec, 2018 @ 7:11am
Thanks for always updating man.
Will pick sniper  [author] 20 Dec, 2018 @ 8:07am
@GoSu : Yes, that is indeed correct. Actually I thought something was wrong with Gaia planet, but it turned out to be a different issue.

I tested this mod and found no reason for the alternation. Now I updated the version number thus no longer making red flag.
KeT[PaiN] 17 Dec, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Good to know from both of you guys!! :) thanks for the reply
GoSu 17 Dec, 2018 @ 12:41am
I hope you well will, as for the mod, it seems to be working just fine for 2.2. I haven't had any issues with it.
Will pick sniper  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 8:18pm
Yes, it will.

It is just my health failing me. I may be able to update in next 2 days. See my comments on the main mod, Advanced Weapons to find out what's going on.
KeT[PaiN] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 10:07am
Will this be updated to 2.2? I REALLY love this mod... It's almost a must for me ... :'(
Will pick sniper  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 4:44pm
It turns out to be modding is very hard when I am confined with a crappy laptop while lying on a bed.

Unfortunately this will take some more time, hopefully I get better so I can use my main computer, but it seems I am not going to able to finish it today or tomorrow.
Will pick sniper  [author] 6 Dec, 2018 @ 8:06am
Yes... sure. But you may want to read my comments on my main mod, Advanced Weapon to check out on my recent situations.

That said, maybe I will updat this mod by this weekend, provided the patch is great and not too buggy.
Sylvie | Abyss 6 Dec, 2018 @ 7:28am
heck the lack of recent comments. this mod is great and I've been using it in modpacks for over two years. please keep updating :>
[HARK] Mr. Viking 9 Jul, 2018 @ 4:36am
Is this compatible with the new planet types from Planetary Diversity ?
Will pick sniper  [author] 5 Jun, 2018 @ 3:07pm
Now, Because of the performance issue, I could not fully tested this mod.

Yeah, so, after 60~70 game years, this game simply becomes unplayable. I tested via cheat codes and etc, but it is never enough for testing.

Hopefully everything is ok.
TechSY730 31 May, 2018 @ 5:27pm
Just to make sure you know about this when looking at 2.1 compatibility. There was a breaking scripting change in 2.1 the developers didn't do a good job letting modders about.
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/dev-team-2-1-0-documentation-if-else_if-else.1100202

Your scripts may be doing the wrong thing silently if you need to update them and don't.
Will pick sniper  [author] 27 May, 2018 @ 8:26am
Still working on updating. There are indeed some types that were introduced recently, and I need to test a bit more to see anything goes wrong for L-gate related events.
WArYag Twar 22 Apr, 2018 @ 2:29pm
after the update 2.0.2 not all planets can be terraformed.
for example: https://pp.userapi.com/c831408/v831408511/d5ad6/lrgI48rpXik.jpg
TwoTonTuna 18 Mar, 2018 @ 2:25am
PS also spotted a typo: the "Advanced Atmo spheric Manipulation" technology is "Advanced Atom spheric Manipulation" in-game.
TwoTonTuna 18 Mar, 2018 @ 2:24am
Right. Was able to play a game with the mod, and here's my two cents: I have to say that the low prices feel pretty cheatsy. The discounts from terraforming gases + world shaper make it pretty easy to spam out new planets, which cost anywhere from 3,500 energy to 4,900 energy--double if you want gaia worlds. The planets are also pretty big, anywhere from 17-25 tiles each, putting them on par with ringworlds. Then there's the fact that you can terraform multiple planets all at the same time. This makes it way too easy to win a domination victory.

Imho, bringing up the prices to Ringworld-levels ought to help balance things out. A good starting point would be around 50,000 energy for barren/cold/toxic, 60,000 for frozen/molten, and 70,000 for gas/asteroid. If going for gaia, slap on 20,000 energy to all values. Wide empires and empires with Dyson spheres can easily collect this much energy in the late-game.

Again, just my two cents.
Will pick sniper  [author] 18 Mar, 2018 @ 12:33am
I don't think that matters.
TwoTonTuna 18 Mar, 2018 @ 12:03am
By the way, what will happen if you attempt to terraform one of the Contingency's hidden worlds? Chances are pretty small, but it's still a possibility
TwoTonTuna 16 Mar, 2018 @ 7:20pm
Man, this needs to be in the official version of Stellaris. Advanced spacefaring civs can create ringworlds but can't even terraform existing planets into habitable ones? Also, it's the perfect late-game energy dump for when you have 100k energy and nowhere to spend it on.
Atrion 25 Feb, 2018 @ 5:04am
Willl you are the best man thanks.
Will pick sniper  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:14pm
And speaking of Legacy version, I am not even sure how to make them available. Either making yet another bunch of entries on steam workship, or just do it as upload files on dropbox. Not sure which way is the best.
Will pick sniper  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:13pm
Legacy 1.9 version is planned after I finish updating mods... first.
Will pick sniper  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 5:47pm
And it is updated.
Will pick sniper  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 11:43am
Yes, so I am working on my mods now...
The Feeder 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:52am
2.0 please
ZacharyBuilder 10 Dec, 2017 @ 3:04pm
1.9 please
Divine 18 Oct, 2017 @ 3:36am
hmm im confused by the description. why are molten worlds terraformed into tropical worlds? isnt that too big of a change? :P

And can i disable the ability to terraform gas giants and asteroids? cause im worried that if i install the mod my expansion planner tab will show way too many items lol :P
Retheri 30 Sep, 2017 @ 10:37am
I tested with both of the two mods and luckily they worked fine together, though extra work need to be done to terraform planets into rpd world types.
Maybe I'll make a patch sometime or create a new mod with build-in compatibility.
Will pick sniper  [author] 29 Sep, 2017 @ 9:01pm
@parascihho : I have to look up that mod first... But it seems it is not going to play nicely with this mod.
Retheri 29 Sep, 2017 @ 8:01pm
work with reworked planetary diversity?
DarthPancake 28 Sep, 2017 @ 10:27am
This mod is what I wanted! Thank you
Will pick sniper  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 1:14am
Updated for 1.8!
Will pick sniper  [author] 17 Aug, 2017 @ 6:43pm
No, sorry.
Enzamus Prime 20 Jul, 2017 @ 8:53am
for fix of asteroid size worlds, open console, select asteroid that has been terraformed and input planet_size 16 for a homeworld sized planet
Will pick sniper  [author] 4 Jun, 2017 @ 4:37pm
@ Asgaardson : Unfortunately there is no way to put minerals as terraforming cost. The game simply ignores the value. :/ It seems cost coding for terraforming does not have any mechanics regarding minerals.
Asgaardson 4 Jun, 2017 @ 9:32am
Hey, how about something like expensive thing that costs ~40k minerals and allows build larger planets from asteroids?
