Within the mod file at: ...Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\446800\797560973\mod.lua

data.lods[1].visibleTo = 3200 --6000

That is specifically targetting trees, but I guess you could try other things.

@RWB FxUK, great mod man. Can you point in where I look to change the draw distance of trees? You said your mod decrease it, but I want to increase it, also increase the buildings and terrain draw distance.

Do you know how these values are called and where they are? I already looked in base_config.lua but the terms used by the devs are no clear.

Thanks. =)

I dislike that it replaces crops with trees. Probably not fixable.

Click on new game (or Free game, i think it is now) then click advanced.

how i can activate it with e new map? I only can activate and deactivate mods with existing savegames at "load game" menu at mainpage of Trainfever. At menu "new game" i dont have the possibilities to activate some mods...
𝓕𝔁  [author] 13 Nov, 2017 @ 7:53am
@001144 - it only activates for a new map, not existing.
001144 13 Nov, 2017 @ 12:44am
i have to just activate this mod at "load game menu"? The loaded game after this have more vegetation right? I dont see big differences ?! :(

@FX2K, I've tried, and it works if it is the only mod. It seems it is not compatible with 'bigger train stations". But the fact is that these mods work well together before I've changed my graphic card, so maybe the problem comes from the hardware....
𝓕𝔁  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 6:11am
@myckael.m -
I just started a new game with only this mod active and its working as expected., so not sure why its not for you, perhaps conflicting with another mod?

myckael.m 19 Aug, 2017 @ 2:42am
Don't know why, but this mod has exactly the opposite effect. I've no more trees on maps...

FX2K Thanks!

@General of Rome - No need for credits mate, its only a few simple changes :steamhappy:

I really like mountain maps, but unfortunately your mod only has a treeline of 350 meters. therfor i made a alternative version of your mod with a treeline of 1000 meters. I am fine with you taking the credit for it, since it is prety much your creation, and therfor like to add you as an offictial creator on the steam page of the mod. I can only do that if you are a steam friend though, so maybe att me to your friendlist if you want so. Here is the link to my version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=951118090

I'm making the environment mod atm, can you explain please how to get the changes that are made to base_config.lua to be packed into the mod and stay untouched if the game wants to update itself? Also would love to make it compatible with your mod, don you think it will conflict or override? I am not touching the forest density, just fog and lighting.
Scorpidoo 31 Dec, 2016 @ 5:34am
Good Job makes the maps feel way more alive now.
𝓕𝔁  [author] 17 Dec, 2016 @ 4:20am
I don't think that can be modded, would be nice though.
Leo Gris 16 Dec, 2016 @ 7:22pm
can u create big brush for three or maybe know where change some numbers in files? ) Standard brush place only 1 three at once, its very hard to planting )
dwtrains_nz 2 Dec, 2016 @ 5:07am
Much better, thank you very much.

@ExoticPArallel - Probably best to ask on the forums, sounds like a bug to me??

@Markom, I think the engine decides during auto-placement. When making a map with a heightmap, you can set the cities initial size,, but think these settings are the only way to control generated maps.
ExoticParallel 19 Nov, 2016 @ 10:49pm
Can you help me? My map generation stopped. I only get perfectly flat maps with no water. With no mods enabled
Markom 18 Nov, 2016 @ 7:19am
Jeah i found that line allready and just wonder is that how fast town develope. I mean is there trick to have bigger town right at begining. Lets say like 500 ppl in start and growth could be as it meant to be.
𝓕𝔁  [author] 18 Nov, 2016 @ 7:06am
@Markom, you can accelerate town growth in that file, game.config.townGrowthFactor = x
Markom 18 Nov, 2016 @ 6:57am
Is it some line in that same base_config.lua file where you can adjust town size at start? I need more ppl in those towns asap ;D
𝓕𝔁  [author] 13 Nov, 2016 @ 1:12pm
@Gfurst, it's all in plain text in the files...Have a look, tweak away, profit.
Gfurst 13 Nov, 2016 @ 11:36am
Can you share me the keys to the other script mods as well?
May I also invite you to the discord channel for game, for some easier chat: https://discord.gg/jZyrE
𝓕𝔁  [author] 13 Nov, 2016 @ 9:54am
Just back it up in the same folder and edit away :)
You can do quite a lot from that file alone.
Gfurst 13 Nov, 2016 @ 9:50am
Thanks, is there a guide or reference list anywhere for these configs?
And how should I this safely? just backup the file somewhere else, or a specific location for overrides?
𝓕𝔁  [author] 13 Nov, 2016 @ 9:42am
@Gfurst, it is possible yes, but IMO I think its best with things like that if you edit the config file, its easy enough to do... when I tend to change things like that, I use different settings depending on how I fancy playing.. it could turn into too many separate mod variations :steamhappy:

P.s It's the same file as above, just change spacing values under "game.config.world"
Gfurst 13 Nov, 2016 @ 9:38am
That is pretty good, seems like every little detail can be customized in config files.
Can you do one for industry density, it seems like there are way too many industry cramped together.
Hiigara 12 Nov, 2016 @ 7:53pm
Very nice mod! Thanks!!
BuffHamster 12 Nov, 2016 @ 3:00pm
Awesome, 'sactly what I was looking for. I really should start fiddling with the lua files, ... make the game da hamstah way and all.
𝓕𝔁  [author] 11 Nov, 2016 @ 1:01pm
@aubergine18 - try editing the file, setting the levels to 0... I don't know how much of an effect it will have but interested to know for sure...
leftbehind 11 Nov, 2016 @ 12:36pm
Could you do a version of this mod that decreases the vegetation a bit for those of us on old grindy computers? :)
𝓕𝔁  [author] 11 Nov, 2016 @ 10:42am
I did mention I wasn't sure on performance, since I don't know.. for me, it doesn't have any effect.

I haven't tried it on a smaller computer :P only on mine, hence why I also gave the information on how you can edit it yourself to your own personal preference.
LB_Industries 11 Nov, 2016 @ 10:41am
BUT you have also to say that this will reduce prformance on smaller Computers...to be serious
