For those that are new and are saying that this is basically a Springfield Operator, yeah, it pretty much is, but keep in mind that MGS4 where the Springfield Operator appears takes place in 2014. MGS3, the game that has this model of the M1911A1 takes place in 1964. Back then, a kind of crafting job like that on a handgun was literally unheard of. So, EVA handed Naked Snake a literal masterpiece of a handgun. If you do some research on the gun online and ingame, you can see why he really liked it.
