Like others have said, no matter what you set distance to, it does not go over 5000 units which means the container has to be ridiculously close to where you're mining and its not worth using these tools over ... say ... the mining drill. Since this mod hasnt been updated since 2017, it's unlikely this will ever be fixed and even more likely the developer lost the source files which means open sourcing it are impossible.

Suffice to say; this mod isnt worth installing in its current form.

this is both really cool and very strange i might use it at one point but like... ehh later was not exspecting this but hey i'd love to see like the Wither or the Dragon in this game as like unqiue rare boss's that just spawn naturally as like Alpha's or something

Is there a distance limit on the crystals? It wasnt working when I was more than "5000 units" it said but I was literally 100 steps from my base

i tried amping up the distance and nothing i set it at changes, 50k, 25k, nothign changes it keeps saying 5k in game.

A thought, an in game ability to modify the range of the teleport... Making amplifiers or relay posts? Something where if there is crystal and player within radius of tower then they are connected even if the real distance between them is beyond the range of the standard teleport? Also an idea for a possible fix for the ownership.... give them a frequency or something. Instead of them all being one crystal they are different in the idea of like upgraded tiers. Require them to be paired or something. Maybe remove the need to make the tools and instead require frequency specific paired crystals to be in storage and on player/dino (auto teleport dinos when harvesting for instance). Just thoughts, thanks for the awesome mod and some minecraft nostalgia!

@Ghazlawl I completely understand why scanning the entire map is just not possible, which is why I suggest saving the locations beforehand instead of scanning everytime you need them.

@soepie7 - The idea that you're describing is possible, yes, but the way WC manages parent child classes for containers it would be very expensive to do a scan of the entire map on an interval, which is why it's done on around each player in a radius. However, there IS a way to limit it to your player/tribe I just haven't updated it yet. Probably this weekend after yard work and AH updates. :)

@Ghazlawl I am not really familiar with Unreal modding, but is it possible to create entries of storage units in a list everytime an ender crystal is added, so that the game doesn't have to search all storage units for crystals, but can just look at said list.

Then, if each tribe has its own list of crystals, It would also solve resources going to chests of other tribes.

Then again, maybe modding doesn't work this way.

@soepie7 - That's probably way out of the range. The default is 5k units (about 16 foundations). I've bumped it up to 10k no problem but herbivore island is probably further away than that. :P

Also @Ghazlawl, I take it the storage object needs to be within a loaded area? I can't just place the crystal at herbivore island, and go mine the oil in the snow region and still expect it to be teleported, right?

@Arstan, I mean, if the place I harvest at is clsoer to another tribe than myself, it gets transfered to his base, even though I cannot place crystals in his chests. That way some people will just place storage stuff at locations with a lot of resources, in order to get stuff from others.

I would think that if you can't access the chest (for example you dont belong to the tribe or it is locked) you cant place the crystal in the first place. Just a thought

I think there are times you want to keep what you harvest. If there is no way currently that I missed, maybe make right click add item to your inventory

Yeah normally I would agree on the distance, but with the introduction of Tek tier and all its toys like the Teleporter and Underwater bases etc. Might as well have a mod like this right?

May want to consider making a Dino consumable(since Ender is a 'buff') or item that can go in their inventory that functions like the Pick or Axe -that way people who harvest with Dinos (and those that use the 'Clamp Dino Damage to Harvest Amount setting) can benefit from the mod as well. Cool concept, will be keeping my eye on it. Good luck!

It's not meant for covering two map grid squares. :) We'll look into ways to increase the range or make the range configurable.

Yikes, the range is really short -wont even cover 2 map grid squares worth of distance. Kinda makes the overall idea moot --you have to go back to the container anyways to empty out the unwanted resources since filtering is not an option on the Crystal or Tool (unless you use the S+ Inventory Cleaner mod).

Good concept but, needs some more function to it. Reminds me of a cargo transporter mod I use in Space Engineers.

ENDER ELAVATOR

Here a (crazy) suggestion: Vertical Catapult Elevator (Ender Elevator)

Same parts, just one more option inside the radial menu: "Enable/Disable Launch Mode"
Depending on the amount of vertical rails, in "Launch Mode" the platform speeds up (still stopping at the top) and causes the player to be catapulted high into the air. Hopefully the player wears a paraschute. Cool for observations. One vertical rail catapults half tree-height, two catapult above trees, ..., ten catapult to just below upper edge of the atmosphere, eleven catapult the player into the Nirvana (into lower space, orbit, death) - punishment for bad tribal members or imprisoned members of hostile tribes.
