PS: Don't you love when people come to tell you that your mod doesn't work in vanilla? If you don't like mods, don't use them. Quit whining about it.
You made a great work!
Then it's also the fact that mods cease to function in non-modded games. Windows don't.
And if we where to take the scenario of a 3 block wide room with stairs running in the middle there'd still be plenty of room left over to build as the windows would only block the direct space between the wall and the stairs themselves, leaving above and under free to be built. But sure.
All in all: I'd go with the windows any day to make my ship actually work in non-modded servers, as you can see many modded servers have few amount of people playing on them.
This mod is more for utility then asthetics really. Although some may have it just for asthetics which isn't a bad thing, it still serves it's purpose.
