@T-VIRUS please do so, it's been a struggle to find specific mods that I see online in the Steam Workshop. It's ridiculous that we should need to get a headache whilst installing extra programs onto our computers when the Steam Workshop works just fine.

@baraz we shouldnt have to make accounts on a site that we will likely only use once in order to download a mod that was removed from a site that we already have an account on

there are zero valid reasons for removing armor stat customiser from the workshop (it was originally on the workshop, but he removed it and then uploaded it to nexus, which then deleted it from my game and broke all my saves)

i have been considering reuploading it to the workshop just to spite nexus and allow others to use it without needing to install extra programs and make accounts

@T-Virus : Mind you, don't we create free accounts on tons of sites anyhow? You can create a generic account, with some secondary email adress. As you wish, though I agree placing on the Steam Workshop would make more sense or placing it on both would be better.

armor stat customizer used to be on the workshop, but the asshat removed it for some reason and locked it behind the nexus signup wall

I found a mod that allows you to customize armor stats, so I just removed the bonus HP and replaced them with Shields (+4 HP becomes Shield 4). The mod does not changed any armor stats: you choose to do so or not. It is on the Nexus mods site:

What would be cool and popular is to convert armor bonus HP to shield points ! It keeps the entire original game balance, but stops wound/hospital time for what should have been soaked by the armor HP.

@Avalynne

I'm glad you like this item and good thing it seems to be working again.

What you're experiencing seems really odd because I'm pretty sure this utility item isn't supposed to be gated by tech or number of missions.
Avalynne 14 Jan, 2017 @ 5:58pm
It started working in this recent game, I think it's gated behind a tech i researched or a number missions i completed. Either way, its a cool item that helps in the early game grind.

@Flik the Changeling

I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys playing turn-based combat with less but more favoured/heroic soldiers.

@Avalynne

I've heard there's often cases where disabling mods (if you mean unselecting them at the initial mod menu) doesn't actually remove all their effects.

I forget where exactly but some mods in the workshop link to a page describing how to reset everything. It involves finding the folder full of config files and deleting them all and the game will recreate them fresh when you start the game again.
Avalynne 14 Jan, 2017 @ 9:09am
I'm not sure what happened, but its not letting me build any extra suits after the starting a new game. It worked my first play through, but now, only just the first free one. I've tried disabling all mods but this one but it's still a no go.
Flik the Changeling 13 Jan, 2017 @ 4:06pm
I say its a nice addition for hero soldiers when one plays mods like 2x or 3x more enemies. Helps keep your fav soldier alive while grunts may die
kojak 21 Dec, 2016 @ 9:37pm
This is a very nice mod, helps my 'hero' characters survive the noob stages without having to use the console when they are on higher elevation with high cover and the enemy has a 4% chance to hit and 0% critical chance and somehow nails them with 2 criticals in a row.

@ПΛПО Prince Dragoon

I'm glad people are finding this mod helpful.

Thanks for your comment and that's an interesting consideration. Maybe some day I can figure out how to add more of the same item into the game without making them infinite (like buying things in engineering).

Starting with at least 2 super shields doesn't sound unreasonable to me.
Conefed 21 Dec, 2016 @ 12:12pm
Compared to your other cheater mods, this one seems out of place. It's not even that far off from other items.
Hoki 21 Dec, 2016 @ 10:45am
its a nice mod for a heavily modded playthrough with highly increased pot size :D
ПΛПО Dragoon 21 Dec, 2016 @ 8:59am
Shame cant be reproduced. If you are playing on ironman mode where you cant load back and stuff. When youse lose xcom meebers and all you have are rookies it gets harder to stay alive XD.
