If you folks would still like to play this I have put my modded server up for "checkpoint only with bots" for coop play only. 16 slots for players and plenty of bots that can add more or take them down a notch. The name of the server is Troopers Vietnam Insane AI on the server list, or you can join via the IP: 68.58.158.79:2017 "This is a large download and may take a while to load" I will leave the server up if I get enough players on a regular basis.

Its a shame there's no bots :/

it crashes in solo. It would be so cool that someone makes a mod with the character skins (vietcong and GI) so we could play with some independant maps (if there is navmesh) like vietnam b2. There are also vietnam war skins in cod black ops but no mod have been made with them.

The Insurgency one is better because it's supported. The Day of Infamy one is broken.

I own Insurgency but was thinking of getting Day of Infamy DOI as well for Bot play.
Is this VIETNAM mod better for Bot play in DOI or in Insurgency?

I prefer using a menu rather than console commands,is the DOI version supported in the solo menu or do I still have to type in console?

Guys go to the server browser in game and filter by player count, then look for INS custom bot lobbies. They will have most of these maps on rotation and filled lobbies. Many different variations,some have medics, some have unlimited armory some dont.
