Hey Aquila, I did try but still no success. The game wouldn't load, I would get a purple screen, I even tried a loading screen mod which just showed a few items failing and then hanging up.

@Sheibban The old 81 Tiles and Quay Anarchy mods were broken in recent updates. I've updated the required mods, but don't have time to test the save at the moment. Can you please try it with the following mods and let me know if it works? (make sure to unsubscribe the old mods.)

how do I play this map?? I subscribed, have DLC, and all req. mods yet its not showing in the game, even after restart.

I somehow had both installed... but ya got it working and my city is comming along nicely. Good job on the layout on this. :stein:

@Daynox You'll need to use Network Extensions 2 instead of the original Network Extensions; the original mod is dead. Make sure you enable the mod under the content manager before loading the map.

I have all the required mods installed, the map loads up but there is no road layout... any ideas?

Hi!

No i mean the 6 (or 4 lanes) roads that connects the inner most circle to the outer. It's a one way trap :) I noticed it when placing bus routes.

I get you. My city is as now 90k and expanding rapidly. The main thing about a highway through the middle is the passing through traffic of trucks etc. No big problem though.

@Google Chrome So far it handles quite well on 60k residents with four quadrants filled in. Looking forward to finding out how it goes as the city grows. Eventually additional bridges across the canals between neighbourhoods may be required, depending on the way people fill the neighbourhoods.

You mean the two lanes in the sunken highway? They're split. The outer lanes are directed to the outside ring, the inner lanes are directed to the inside ring. This to avoid interaction between the two lanes. There are eight 2-way roads leading from the ground-level ring-roads above the sunken highway to the inner circle. This was a conscious design decision due to the really bad traffic AI in the game.

There's a highway around the city, outside the suburbs. This was never meant to be a realistic city, it's mainly meant to look fancy and see what's possible. I got the idea from driving through Munich, which has a highway ringroad through the inner city.

Feel free to turn it into a normal roads! I just made the base grid, I'm really, really curious to see how other people customize it to their own liking! :D

I do agree on the bridges. Some are a bit too long due to terraforming issues, and some I may very well have missed in my final checks.

I've been building on this map for some days and encountered some issues. The roads connecting the inner circle are all one way. So cars can only get inside but not out again. Some bridges are to long and needs to be put to the ground. The highway system should go around the city not through it.

But hey it's a well build grid mate! :)

Well, that's certainly pretty. How does it handle traffic?
