it's actually pretty simple. in the untouched game files, I just have to open the .zip file of the car I want to work on, and I can then open the model file(s) for a car directly with my 3d editor, and textures can be converted in batches easily using Noesis.
it's really just boring but easy work.

Thanks Cornbread. Glad you like it. I haven't really planned to port some more cars, but I'm involved in a project of my friend, who ports all cars from BeamNG to GMod. We decided to use simfphys as a Base for that and so far progress is pretty good. You can check it out here: https://github.com/cynaraos/cyn_veh_beamng/tree/master/addon
