Rep compatibe?

Ok well theres basically no lag anymore unless you have like, soy and brim/tech. So thats great! Also like how the creep now scales with your damage, another good change.

Enemies with lasers and brimstone don't make the creep anymore, but an new issue is that now creep from your lasers and brimstone don't do damage for some reason

I completely understand, besides that bug and the lag the item works perfectly fine. Excited to see what you do with your characters though!
Ryou  [author] 20 May, 2021 @ 3:27am
@TheGreenDigi Absolutely. I don't mind taking advice, the core item idea is solid and I can tweak it in any direction really. Can't guarantee I'll get to it because I'm currently sort of reworking all my mods for Repentance, and especially my characters need an overhaul, haha.

Regarding the bug, shit. I was afraid that'll happen. I was foolishly thinking the game would know that ENTITY_LASER originates from the player, but looks like I'll have to check the parent. I'll see if I can fix that tonight.

Also makes your shooting familiars leave creep as well
TheGreenDigi 20 May, 2021 @ 3:12am
Also... just found a bug, apparently enemies that fire lasers, tech or brimstone, while you have the item also leave your creep on the floor from their lasers and brimstone
TheGreenDigi 20 May, 2021 @ 3:06am
Glad to help
Also would you take suggestions on how to improve the item even though it's a rather old one? Cause currently since this spawns so much creep even with one tear it can get real laggy with things like soymilk, brimstone or tech where it just fills the whole room with creep, could probably remedy this by decreasing how often the tears spawn creep, so instead of it being a straight line of water it looks like drips of water spread out a bit.

The real funny thing is that I've made far more item mods where I didn't mess that up, seems like since this was one of the first mods I made I kinda botched that.
Ryou  [author] 20 May, 2021 @ 2:33am
Huh. You're right. Looks like I messed that up. Nice catch! I was confused as I thought you meant the costume, and when I was testing the item I used debug tools to obtain the item. I'll fix it real quick.

I just went through the files and compared it to another mod that adds 1 item and yea the item sprite in the wrong folder, it's in the gfx/characters folder and not the gfx/items folder. I made an items folder in the gfx folder and put the collectible folder from characters into the new items folder and it fixed the issue
TheGreenDigi 20 May, 2021 @ 2:16am
I tested it with not a single other mod on, still no item sprite. Uninstalled the mod and checked to make sure it was fully uninstalled then reinstalled it with it still being the only mod and still the same issue.
Ryou  [author] 20 May, 2021 @ 1:45am
@TheGreenDigi Do you run any other mods besides this one? That bug shouldn't happen and it worked fine for me.
TheGreenDigi 19 May, 2021 @ 6:05pm
For some reason the sprite for the item doesn't show up, otherwise seems to work perfectly fine

Updated this mod for Repentance and also added some more synergies

You can put Funnynin in the "created by" section of the workshop. That way you can give credit to your friend!

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it! Haven't had the chance to test this item a lot, but I think on average runs it shouldn't appear all that often. I'll think about adjusting it!

Hey, I really like the idea of this mod :)
Sadly, I believe that this item is very op, especially on the first floors.
I think it would be better if the item would add a 25-50% chance of firing a "river-tear" instead of firing it every single time.
Keep up the good work :)

Added item pool support, thank god.
