Jokes aside. I think some of her skills aren't updated for the new turn system. Hope you are up to do some updates...
I'll mess with her files to see what my creativity can do. Btw great mod and love her skin.
That's because mod only supports english and russian languages
also im receiving some buggy messages with scripts instead text..
Tanks shouldn't deal massive damage, because, why bother bringing damage dealers then? but tanks need to tank, that means they need to take damage for the team and protect their allies. Being hard to kill is only a part of tanking.
Protection, stun, ripose, guarding, self marking, dodge, shuffle, debuffing enemy offensive stats and granting buffs to defensive stats. Those are the trademarks of tanks.
Btw people, if you dont like the inability to party with religious party members, its easy enough to change it yourself in the info file, you dont need to waste the modder's time when he has already created a perfectly created mod. The script is easy enough to figure out, i did it, it all is really simple. (though if you change too much, the class will cease to spawn in the wagon)
I ask myself, "Why would I take a vampire over a Flagellant?"The Flagellant: heals himself very well, heals allies amazingly well (usually crits), deals top tier bleed damaage, demarks, stress controll, amazing campfire skills, can tag every enemy position, is tough as nails, has great resists, has amazing move mechanics!, buffs himself when low on health, has aoe heal when on death bed, has aoe enemy stun when dies... on and on and on and on.
Then I look at the Vampire: she does mediocre bleed damage, does embarassing flat damage, can dodge stuff, transfers health 1 to 1 basis, and heals herself moderately... oh - and I cant use her with six or seven other classes.
If you are afraid of buffing the Vampire too much then deescelate some areas which might be strong, her NightStalk for example, and recreate a new function for this floppy class.
Been a fan of vampire stuff (gothic/horror fantasy) since early 90s and I really would like to see this fly.
Red Hook never did anyting with that game mechanic, really. Sure there are some campfire skills but thats really about it. There are no "bad guy" only buffs, no real RP element in play, no strategic reason to exclude/include certain 'evil' persons.
Its just an EXTREMELY annoying RP mechanic that doesn't /i do /i anything for the game. That being said could you please have an option where we can have the vampire in religious groups?
Again, three out of the seven Vamp skills do the same thing - bleed damage: Tear Artery, Deep Fang, and Cut Vein. If you want some great flavor to spice up the skills (other than sucking blood) look to literature and film media! Theres tons of it out there! Hell, make her sparkle when the torch is lit - just make her do SOMETHING!!! <3
As mentioned above a 'tank' needs to do something other than stand around and be tough: buff, debuff, shuffle monsters, rearrange allies, guard, break guard, stealth allies, destealth opponents, heal, stress heal, mark, demark... but the Vampire does none of those things (except for a minor health transfer - not really a heal).
On top of all of that...
That way you can either make her a fighter for the front line or a tank/support. Because currently her tanking is just "bleh, i don't care about my team, healing myself is all i want to do" which isn't really pretty helpful
Vamp is a really fun character to play with but once you get into those veteran missions the fun is lost. She does so little damage, what's worst is the debuff of her only skill that deals heavy damage. It can be only used once. Using it twice is not recommended because of the damage debuff which is long. Even with the bonus damage to bleed she can barely 1 hit a mob.which is very important on veteran missions. She already relies too much on bleed to deal damage.
If you don't want to make her deep fang stronger then i suggest invreasing her weapon damage. If not give her soft nimble or crimson kiss an effect that marks an enemy. Then the tear artery can deal bonus damage to mark, if you dont want the tear artery dealing bonus damage to mark then at least give her crimson kiss or soft nibble a mark effect, at least that way some class can finish or deal some bonus damage to the marked target.
For a longer post like that, you can start a discussion topic too, which might be easier to fit it all.
Her main role is a tank with dash of dps and healer. She is pretty hard to kill (with all those self heals), but as balance, can't give her too much other stuff. However, that are some skill/code change I might try, and maybe make transfusion stronger to giver her more role choice. But that will have to wait for "future" updates. :)
The problem is all around the character function, she has some really shy group utility (no stun, no party buff/stress heal/ other utility, has a heal that gives bleed, which is funny since she herself has little bleeding resist), has no multi target skill, can't hit the position 4 and is not specially strong at single target damage. She can only hit one target, so you have to make it count.
The character has flaws, but she can have them just fine as long as she can do one thing better than most, so just certify that she does. This was my feedback, nonetheless, i know you are a busy person, so thanks anyway for reading it and for your good work, i really appreciate it. Your design is awesome, just need some number tweaks in my opinion.
Night Stalk is an amazing skill, nothing i could say about it would make it any less perfect and Transfusion is more or less fine if the intention was having an off heal, although i don't find her low bleeding resist reassuring for that (Occultist at least has good bleeding resist). Another problem is the same as Abomination, as he although fairly strong, cannot be together with the Vestal which is the best healer of the game by far, which in itself is not unredeeamable, but she is not a good match for partying with Occultists either as her bleed resist is low as stated before. Bleeding Resist with Trinkets? Sure, as the way it is, dedicating a slot for bleeding resist, even if with bleeding chance as well (which you stated was the idea) would still mean aggravating her low damage problem. She would need a dedicated Trinket to make it up at least.
I think Soft Nibble has a good design, but i would rather want it to hit spots 2-4 than 1-3.
Tear Artery is an interesting ability, as it's more or less a direct hit that bypass PROT, but as stated by some veteran users, it is also a hit that has double chance to fail (dodge and resist), so i think the bleeding chance should be put a bit higher to make the hit chance be the decisive point in deciding the bleeding instead.
It starts with her weapon dmg that is nothing special, which is strange for the frontlines units in general. Also, her resistances are low overall, with only death blow resist above average and not really the best resist to be had.
Cut vein is a subpar version of the Highwayman's, as his has more dmg and don't have the limiter of minus damage after bleeding, even if it hits position 3 (as Highwayman has other stuff to do so if he wants to).
Crimson Kiss is an amazing skill that would be an incredible addition to any frontliner and i kind of understand why you limited the damage with the bleeding since it's worth it even then, but although Deep Fang is also an amazing skill with good design, the debuff is far too long for the effect it gives, as stated, her base dmg is not good enough to the point that justify the 3 rounds of debuff, and dmg loss at that, ouch.
I actually find it strange that some people said that this mod was almost too powerful, i thought that it was actually a little underpowered. The concept is awesome and the skill kit is solid, but there are fundamental problems. First to mention is her role, she is visibly a frontline that is best used in position 1 or 2, and while she has medium hp and a low dodge, she can heal, so it's passable no problem. The problem lies in being a frontline PURE DAMAGE DEALER and not especially good at that. A tanker? Yes, i can see that, she has INSANE self heals with Crimsom Kiss and Deep fang, but in harder content, surviving is MEANINGLESS if the character is not contributing enough to the team, and by contributing i mean damage wise, priority target supression or utility, so i disagree entirely with the concept that her damage being low is fine since the character doesn't fit in any of the other roles that are expected of a tank.
When I look into the file, there is no hero class file for vamp to change the faction. I know it's possible from the pictures uploaded on Nexus, but I just couldn't figure it out.
sorry about my english
