Any mod that gives me the ability to see health bars (and damage numbers) at the beginning is great, but there's a graphic bug when I have C Section (the babies don't appear). Any potential fix?

this is not what I wanted, I wanted to always see the enemy health bar and damage without having spider mod, this mod does give spider mod but makes the familiar invisible. This means that the familiar continues to apply status effects and still counts in the spider baby transformation.

There's a problem with C section making the babies disappear, i've tested mods one by one and this one was the problem, not sure why.

after i downloaded it (With AB without knowing it will crash) it crashed and when i went back to check the comments i found it it only works with repentance and now my game just wont open (and yes i unsubed) how do i fix it?

It basically spawns in spider mod when you start, but makes it invisible, and unable to move, but doesn't remove any of the other functionality. Enemies can still walk over it and freeze, it still spawns spiders or lil' batteries

It seems like a lil' battery will still spawn sometimes, as if I picked up the actual Spider Mod. Any chance you could fix that? Thanks.

@Maleverus, thanks for your reply and thanks for your work on this mod. I had sort of figured that that was the case and so was mostly posting info for those still playing Afterbirth+ and trying to narrow down the cause of a crash. I suspect that these types of problems will arise more frequently for those that haven't upgraded to the latest DLC as mods are updated to work in Repentance.
Incidentally, there is a mod called 'Spiderless Spider Mod' that seems to still work with AB+, though I haven't used it enough to know if it has any bugs or glitches.

@JTM, the way this mod works I can only target one version of the game, and I updated it to target Repentance. I'm assuming you don't have Repentance? If there is demand I can totally make a AB+ only version.
@Emma, I'll look into it. Any details, such as what character you are, are appreciated.

Randomly works. First two floors it worked and after that it just stopped displaying the bars.

@Jabon and @DesertMoon, I've updated it for Repentance, tested all chars and tainted looking good. Let me know if any issues. Sorry about that, the update bringing modding support was a surprise and I work two jobs so took a few days to get time to address it.

Hi, pretty major bug with Repentance. If I have this enabled, it displays all characters as being unlocked, including tainted characters. Attempting to play as any of them causes instant death, and in testing this it caused several crashes.

@tdoran, trust me I wish I could get the game to generate the healthbar effect without a starting item, but try as I might I can't get it to with the mod tools. I'm currently under the impression it's not possible, as I've asked for help from far better modders then me with no luck.

@Vaginette, unfortunately the occasional battery/blue spider spawn still occurs. I've modified the familiar to reduce as much as possible the random status effect. Try as I might I have not found a way to have the healthbar effect without also having the battery/blue spider chance. I'm assuming its not possible as I've asked better modders then me for help without luck.

@Hannibalar, sorry but the healthbar effect is a global effect thats either on or off, not related to hitting enemies.

@Joe sorry your having an issue. I just played around this morning and its working fine. Please make sure you (1) have the Afterbirth and Afterbirth+ DLC and (2) enabled the mod in the mod menu. I hope one of those can fix it for you otherwise I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. Actually it could be a conflict with another mod that modifies the items xml. You could test that by disabling any other mods and that would confirm whether that was the issue or not.

So sorry for the crashes! I'm actually trying to get this fixed but I am having a crash bug with the Mod Tools that apparently no one else is having. I just took to reddit to beg other modders to provide the two files I need

Thanks induckhunt. Trust me, I want to make it go away too. And the random status effects the familiar can cause. Try as I might I can't find a way in a mod to seperate the effects we want from those we don't. It might be impossible, or I might need a LUA experts help.

Such a good mod. I don't know if it's possible without removing the animation from ALL familiars, but that little cloud animation when you start a run is making my OCD itch something fierce :P

A couple of runs kept crashing when going in certain rooms somewhere in the Dank Depths. I unsubbed from this and it fixed it.

@Summersault Shimmer, yeah, hes still there just invisible. So he can cause status effects. I've been trying to create a new version of the mod using LUA but I so far can't find a way to give just the HP bars without the status effects. Any other modders want to help I'd take it :D

i noticed that despite being invisible, the spider still seem to damage ennemies with contact damage, i was fighting famine and he got poisoned for some reason.

@MerlinBoss, thanks for detailed report. These issues with boosterpack 2 have been fixed and the mod should auto update.

Some day I would like to find the time to improve further, life is just very busy. If anyone with LUA skills wants to help let me know, I've read the docs and know some improvements are possible, others hypothetical. Note to futureself: I might be able to do away with resource modifications completely if I use lua to clone Spidermod, remove old one from pools, add new graphics and modified entity attributes to clone, issue it to player on run start (would work with all chars / other char mods). Investigate possibility of: seperating effect from familiar completely, modifying effect to remove non HP bar related effects, prevent rerolling with D4/etc.
