I agree with Minion Max. I was sure the mod was buggy before finding out rescue vip from rioting city was working as intended. If you could extract the reinforcements it would make the mission more special and rewward you for the handycap they represent.

Rescue VIP from Rioting City mission is whack. I always kill all enemies on the map before I manage to get to the VIP, which is fine, but then the door bugs out and has to be hacked twice to open while he timer for extract also immediately starts even though I haven't secured the VIP yet.

The Resistance reinforcements would be better not showing up at all - they always spawn far from the extraction point, don't provide any serious firepower, and get absolutely wrecked by enemies dropping in. It's essentially trading 4 resistance members for a scientist.

If the resistance spawned very near the extraction point, they'd be helpful and wouldn't immediately die running across the map on their own.

This MOD looks amazing, hats off to its creator, however the more i read the more i see it needs alot of alterations to .ini filles to make some aspects of each mission workable, and i have really looked hard to find clear alterations to these files without luck. If someone knows exactly what to alter, where and how, it would be a great boon for this MOD :-)

It's for LW 2, pretty sure ABA 2 and LW 2 don't play nice together. RM has a WoTC version and a base game version of this mod.

Figured I'd let the author and anyone else know this. I was experiencing major graphical issues, specifically shaders weren't right, purple lighting and lots of flickering. I do run a crap ton of mods, but all stopped when I disabled this one in particular.

Out of curiosity, will this be updated for WotC? The only reason I ask is because not all of the mods for XCOM 2 are going to be updated and will remain for the nonWotC expansion. Not trying to pry, just wanted to ask a question. :/

I had a bug where I saved all rebels in a "Resuce VIP from rioting city" mission, but two rebels had disappeared from the haven afterwards.

Delete the base game INI files manually. Start the game using the Firaxis launcher, get to the main menu and they'll all be recreated.

When you say "clear your config files" in the documents directory, do you mean delete them and reacquire the files through steam, or use some other method I'm not aware of?

Awsome mod, but how come it takes a while for any of your mission types to show up, just started a new campaign at the end of May and so far only experienced rioting VIP mission.

@wedajm that's a mission type from LW2 itself, did it happen to be in a mission with high ADVENT strength? That'll influence how strong initial reinforcements will be IIRC.

In short I'm crashing the .exe after loading some missions, yet I've been able to do most mission types, so maybe it's map related I really don't know.. It seems totally random, too! I really want to be able to play again.

I was doing a mission where I was suppose to defend some supplies but on every teleportation I got like 10-12 enemies at a time. This can´t be correct. Way too difficult.

What do I need to change in the Inis to get to keep the resistance soldiers on the Rescue VIP missions? Just completed one of those missions but didn't get to keep them. =(

@Reality, I understand. It's just annoying because I got finished with the mission, was ready to pull out and then suddenly I get bombarded wirh resistance personnel and a six turn timer, unable to get out. It sucks.

It's not going get fixed because it's an edge case situation involving LW2's changes to how the evac zone works.

The evac zone activates the evac ability once it's deployed.

LW2 makes it so deployment is time delayed.

I have minimized it as much as I can (it should be auto-deployed on that mission type, so it'll use the shortest possible time when you want to place an evac zone since it thinks it's just re-deploying the evac zone), but I'm not going to try to completely rewrite how the evac zone function works to try to fix that one specific edge case, especially when it should just take some simple willpower to avoid abusing if you run into it.

@Reality, I finally got one of these missions (VIP in Rioting City), but I found a bug. When I threw the Evac it gave me a 4 turn timer, but then it also said Firebrand wasn't able to return for 8 turns. It gave me both! And I was able to leave after *my* timer concluded. Also, the resistance reinforcements came out just a couple turns before I evaced so that was pretty much poitnless. Glad I finally got one of these tho I guess.

I'm getting the same issue that dstone2 is, though it's not consistent. I load the last turn of a mission and try it 3 or 5 times until it doesn't break any more.

They're for Warden armour and plasma weapons, IIRC. They're hidden by default so the Resistance max out at Predator and magnetic.

i keep getting a locked screen showing the underside of the avenger after every rioting city mission. I have to exit the game and reload to a save before the mission to undo it, except now even that is not working. ?!?! Also I disabled your mod for a campaign but still got a rioting city op, wtf dude?

Yes, so I have used the evac ahead of time but when it spawns and I move everyone onto it, the evac ability icon is there but nothing happens when I click it until the firebrand timer is up. Is it supposed to be like that?

I don't know if this has been reported, but on a VIP rescue mission (from this mod) I am able to use the evac flare before rescuing the VIP (for evac to be ready in time), then when I rescue the VIP the evac is ready but I cannot use it as the 'firebrand's return' counter starts ticking. Should the evac flare not be available to use from the start until the firebrand countdown is up or is it there incase you would want to abort?

Wondering if you could make Recruitment of new operatives easier. I like playing with heavy losses. Throwing rookies into the grinder and watching them sink or swim. It feels like in long war the amount you get per turn sucks .
