Looks like the current system wants to force a negative trait on my immortal ruler and even savescumming doesn't help. Very annoying.
I imagine starting out with five traits with the aid of this mod will get rid of that nuisance in the future, since leaders are supposed to be limited to five traits...? Or is that outdated information?
Guess I'll have to befriend the console for now.
What I probably could do relatively easily, is let the player choose as many of the starter traits as they want at the start.
I always liked to play with an immortal ruler for the entirety of the game, so I would certainly appreciate being able to pick their traits properly, rather than being at the mercy of RNG.
I don't have the Galactic Paragons DLC, which apparently also changes how traits work compared to current vanilla? Do you think you could make your mod work both with and without DLC?
Thanks again for the reply, and for this mod - I used it for quite a while before my long absence from Stellaris!
I could make the mod work with the current traits if people still have use for that.
The window where I should be able to pick my second trait comes up empty with only the "Return" button, which brings me back to the first trait, so I can never finish the trait-picking process and get rid of the popup.
I don't enjoy the selection of traits in vanilla and the fact I am limited to a single one, so I'd really love to go back to the old days and keep using this mod.
So -> event ssrt_evt.1
I think at this point I'll finish my current playthrough, and then try a clean install of the game.
If it's not showing up at all make sure you are not playing with a gestalt or hive ethic.
When I mentioned the local version I referred to the version I'm working on and upload to the workshop. You won't have a local version unless you have copied the mod to the mod folder for further modding etc.. So unless you have done that it shouldn't be an issue.
