Can you then at least update the descriptions on all of the blocks?

I don't know if I ever made ships with them however, and this mod was really only uploaded to take critism for future projects. Same with the Triangulashes. My longest lasting mod has lived almost this entire time in secret due to multiple accidental rewrites and lots of tweaking.

I'm working on private version 6 right now, and will release them soon. They're called the anodyne, and vastly superior.

The pseudocore is a generator, and so are the bracers and shields

the palette was technically multicolor, being brown, caramel and tan, but yeah. I'm changing it to blue, indigo and purple.

Not really, to both. I'm mostly just going to redo the generators, boosts and guns. Not replace blocks or add more. Along with the faction's colors. Hopefully it won't be too violent of an overhaul, but if it is, I'll go back to the older version and do a gentler tweak.

Is the overhaul going to vastly alter the playstyle or blocks? Like, should I waste time unlocking everything or should I wait until the rework?

That would be pretty appreciated. I need to rebalance them first though. I'll do some quick tweaking for the long standing complaints, especially how easily overbowered they can become. I'll upload a new version as soon as I can, and if you make ships from that version, it'd be greatly appreciated.

However, the one thing I will provide before retiring this mod is recoil decreasers, as that's been the biggest complaint and suggestion.

Some feedback - I really like the idea here. Initially I hooked up too many boosters to each other and the ship went crazy; it's a good concept to balance it. good work so far!

Well it's still a work in progress and my first mod. i started with just cannons and cannon boosters, and i need to upload the latest build, which is a bit improved. I'm going to add better descriptions down the line, but I'm also busy with the unreleased Pentaradoxes, and the barely conceived Triangulashes. I'm making several at once for a wide array of experience to see what I can do, y'know.

But, if you have issues after I upload the new version of this mod, I'll gladly listen and try to improve.

If you love the ingame builder over the sandbox building in the middle of nowhere. Just type constructor in the console with one core from the faction and go to town. Note you can only export the design and cant really test it until you bring it back from exporting.

I actually have an easy way to my save files for almost every game I obsess over, one way or another. I grew up on pc, so I know a lot of ins and outs. I actualy wanted to mod for years too, but I'm kind of a shy person and uploading them was a little scary.

Great, be sure to try it first, it can be a bit disorienting having to go into the games save files everytime you want to work on a new mod but it should be easy if you are good at navigation :)

Actually, that's much, much easier for me. The in game builder is my zen. I can create fully working 10K P ship and rip through enemies with ease using it in under 6 minutes.

Also you don't have to build everything in the sandbox, there is another way but its a tad bit harder in my opinion. simply go into the sandbox make a new ship with all the parts in your mod. Go into the singleplayer and make a new game, give this game 500,000,000 credits and 8000P and just build in the in-game constructor, once your ship is build select it with the console and save it. done and done.

I know, it took me a while to get used to, but now i can make a full blown dreadnaught with maximum detail in less than 30 minutes, as before it would take me around a full hour which is quite frankly a waste of my time. Listening to loud music tends to help me go through it faster, idk if that works for anyone else.

Thanks for the comments, I'm doing my best atm, and I'll try to incorporate it, but I'm taking a small break to also work on the next mod, Pentaradox, and will work on three others. Hopefully all the experience will help me.

Hexponentials got a lot experience for me, but the Pentaradox have taught me extra colors, how to assign a 3rd color on the selection screen, and custom shapes. All I'm struggling with is making ships in the sandbox. I hate it, it's unintuitive, awkward and clunky.

Oh yeah and a tip when you make a mod, unless you have a trillion parts i recommend starting the player off with at least 15 ships to choose from for those with a less creative side, P ranging from 50-5000 or higher as that's how the vanilla races are. Other than that mod on! :anisoptera:
