For happiness in medieval era, i would suggest trying religion beliefs.
Using my other mod that extend their numbers would help in that regard :

Also try to control your cities population.
i think a repeatable +2 global happiness would unfortunately be a little unbalanced in long games.
When i play medieval era blocked game, I usually try to get little bits of available happiness from all possible source and using religion too and pop control. I usually end up with a happy civilization. But it is indeed one of the challenge of this era and its fitting, since its called the dark age ! :)
This is the great mode. Civ 5 with this mod is my best "for podcast game"!
And there is a little bit of a happiness problem at the latest stage.
Could you fix that? I don`t know programming magic, but maybe like
+2 global happiness for researching 'Mentoring'?

There may be few reason why u got America in your game, for example, if you started your game from the single player menu instead of the MOD menu, Or if there is a mod incompatibility with another mod.
Finally If you place a number of random AI higher then the total of the above list, maybe it will activate other civilization to meet your required number (havent tested this scenario).
My advice: Go through advanced setup and choose your AI Civilization, youll get a better desired and customized result every time.

This mod doesnt touch the promotion system at all so that cant be your problem.
I mean, you restricted civs for AI. then how many civs are available for AI?
Search for "True Start Location" in the workshop you will find map that does that if you enables the .scenario. tag when playing it
As you can read in the mod description:
-All naval unit and embarked unit are allowed to cross ocean with the Compass tech (medieval) instead of Astronomy, so you can still play islands map.

Salut Trycarc, je crois qu'il y a bien un moyen de jouer des partie avec des mods en multijoueur, mais je ne connais pas l'astuce, je crois qu'il y a une procedure et p-e un mod special qui le permet, il faudrait se renseigner.
je n'ai jamais testé puisque l'option n'est pas présente dans le jeux de base.

You could edit the .XML file locally and remove the Tag related to the GREAT wall wonder.
I don't mind fighting against a civ that builds it... It's simply not aethestically pleasing to me.
Try using the mod alone (with no other mod enabled) in a fresh new game and check out the tech tree right away it should look like in the screenshot.
Also make sure you have at least God and King
