Very beautiful and lovingly designed track. Thank you for your work and for making it available on Steam.
Coasty 30 Nov, 2023 @ 8:31pm
Hi heyjoe, finally I couldn't resist to create a little series with the Class 37 to let the user explore your entire route, spreaded across 3 scenarios. In case you want to give it a try as well, here's the link to part-1: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3094987178
Once more, a BIG thanks from my end for crafting such amazing route.
Cheers, Coasty

Hello Coasty. Many thanks for your comments. I enjoyed creating this route and now i see there are more than 1000 subscribers which makes it all worthwhile. Nice to know it is still being used and appreciated. Thanks again, heyjoe.
Coasty 22 Oct, 2023 @ 5:42am
Hi heyjoe, quite a (long) while ago, I subscribed to this route, but only now I did a "deep dive" to explore the route end to end. What can I say: It's nothing less than another true Masterpiece from your end. Really pure joy & fun to drive around this 'network' and compared to 'official' DLCs nowaday it's refreshing to see that there is more than just from one end to the other.
Great route, wonderful details in the scenery, endless options for scenario creators...
Many thanks for sharing! Cheers, Coasty

Highball Simulation 25 Jul, 2021 @ 5:33am
@hyejoe Thanks.
heyjoe  [author] 25 Jul, 2021 @ 3:41am
Hello Railfan. I shall look forward to trying out your scenarios when you publish them.
Highball Simulation 24 Jul, 2021 @ 1:54pm
@heyjoe Thanks. I feel that this route especially suits 1960s Southern Region operations (and there is a frustrating lack of steam era Southern routes out there as well).
heyjoe  [author] 24 Jul, 2021 @ 4:01am
Hello Railfan. Yes, of course you can use this route for your series of Merchant Navy class scenarios. You can use any of my routes for any scenarios you wish to publish.
Highball Simulation 23 Jul, 2021 @ 1:30pm
Hello! I am currently planning a scenario series for the Merchant Navy available from Bossman Games, and wanted to request permission to use this route for some of the scenarios.
heyjoe  [author] 8 Feb, 2021 @ 2:05am
Hello Peter. Good to know that my routes and scenarios are still being appreciated. Thanks for making the comment.
Peter 1949 7 Feb, 2021 @ 12:39pm
Still going HeyJoe thank goodness getting sick of long drives on train sim nice to come back to scenarios that dont take 4 hours to play. Keep it up mate happy again
heyjoe  [author] 6 Jan, 2021 @ 4:33am
Hello William. Many thanks for your comments. I have played your first scenario and look forward to playing the others.
William McCarty 5 Jan, 2021 @ 9:16am
Great route! The scenary is good and the stations and sidings and all that are great to build scenarios. Just published my first scenario for this route with 2 more on the way. Thanks you heyjoe!
Funy German Man 9 Oct, 2018 @ 7:58am

I think it would take years til I would get finished with something like that
heyjoe  [author] 15 Sep, 2018 @ 1:51pm
Hello elias. Thanks very much for making your comments. I'm glad to know you like the route. Its been a long time since i had any comment on this now well established route. You might also like to try my Ridgeway Railway route if you haven't done so already.
Funy German Man 15 Sep, 2018 @ 8:00am
This really is one of the best routes I've ever seen and I really enjoy driving varial trains on it.
You've done great work on that and now I will go for a run a your stoke ferry branch :steamhappy:
heyjoe  [author] 10 Nov, 2017 @ 8:20am
Hello wisewriters. Thanks very much for your encouraging comments. The Ragland Railway was designed to promote operational interest and i am pleased you and others are enjoying using it.
wisewriters 10 Nov, 2017 @ 4:18am
I'm having great frun with Ragland Railway to the extent I've not run anything else for the last week or so. Addictive, Brilliant. Thank you again Heyjoe
heyjoe  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 3:32am
Hello again Schuey. Falmouth Branch and Woodhead Line are used for tracks and track related items so are essential for the route to run. Settle to Carlisle and Western Lines of Scotland are used for scenery items but also needed because otherwise so many items would be missing.
Girth Control 10 Sep, 2017 @ 2:01am
I mean like what is the Settle to Carlisle Line DLC used for? Is it used for scenery? Track?
heyjoe  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 1:13am
Hello Schuey. Don't really understand the question. Addons don't do anything to the route. The route only changes if you edit it and save changes.
Girth Control 9 Sep, 2017 @ 11:06pm
Just wondering, what does each addon do to the route (scenery, track etc)?
mark.shoulders 7 Aug, 2017 @ 9:13am
Ok.thx have tried again seems to be working fine now.thx again for your help.
heyjoe  [author] 7 Aug, 2017 @ 1:14am
Hello again mark. I am not a computer expert and I have no ideal what computer you are using but my experience with Train Sim is that the programme crashes if you become over or near to your computers memory capacity, it happens to me if I try to run scenarios that require too many assets. Try running Ragland Run 11 (Jinty 3F) or Ragland Run 6 (Fowler 4F) as these only use a small number of additional assets.
mark.shoulders 6 Aug, 2017 @ 9:24am
ragland run 10
mark.shoulders 6 Aug, 2017 @ 9:22am
trying the run.the one with the class 416 in blue
heyjoe  [author] 6 Aug, 2017 @ 8:59am
Hello mark. Sorry to hear you are having a problem. I don't know why it should crash, this route has many subscribers and nobody else has reported this problem. Can I ask which scenario(s) you are trying to run?
mark.shoulders 6 Aug, 2017 @ 5:41am
when i go to run a scenario.train sim crashes back to desktop.if i run the route on free roam it works ok.
heyjoe  [author] 6 Aug, 2017 @ 1:27am
Hello mark. Thanks for the comment. I hope you enjoy the route. There are a number of scenarios for this route in the workshop which you can subscribe to.
mark.shoulders 5 Aug, 2017 @ 4:25pm
just downloaded route.very good so far
heyjoe  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 3:23am
Hello hiltopuk. Not sure what you mean but the route should be included in the 'Quick Drive' section of the 'Drive' menu. There won't be anything under the other sections until you add something. You can create your own 'Free Roams' or download some of the Standard Scenarios which are available in the workshop.
hiltopuk 21 Jul, 2017 @ 10:31pm
Hello, this looks very impressive. I have all the DLC necessary but the 'drive' button is still greyed out. I've tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing without success.
heyjoe  [author] 7 Jul, 2017 @ 1:40pm
Hello Peter. Many thanks for playing my routes and making your comments. I enjoy creating the routes and pleased to share them.
Peter 1949 2 Jul, 2017 @ 1:24am
Best Route yet mate, Keep up the good work shortly have nothing but your routes on my computer. Only play Uk routes with Steam and Early diesels.
heyjoe  [author] 1 May, 2017 @ 1:28am
Hello FERNY. Many thanks for playing my route and scenarios and making some comments. Good to know the route is appreciated. I shall be publishing more scenarios for this route from time to time.
FERNY 30 Apr, 2017 @ 9:57am
Wonderful!!!. Tks
heyjoe  [author] 15 Apr, 2017 @ 10:29am
Hi again pjohnandlyns. Thanks for your information, I shall have look at Matt's Track Laying Tips. It's too late to make any changes on this route as it has been made final but could be useful for future projects.
pjohnandlyns 15 Apr, 2017 @ 4:31am
heyjoe.
I'm not a route builder but I've seen a video of "mending" these frogs if they render wrongly if you're interested. Seems you can alter any track type.
Search for Matt Peddleston on Youtube and look for TS 2015 Tutorial, Track Laying tips. That covers it.
heyjoe  [author] 14 Apr, 2017 @ 8:28am
Hi pjhnandlyns. Thanks very much for your comments. Good to know you like the route. I have no control over track frogs, I just use the track available in the game and that is how it comes out. Can't say I noticed it myself.
pjohnandlyns 14 Apr, 2017 @ 6:33am
I found this route really by accident (looking at one of your scenarios on the Steam front page.
What can I say but excellent, must have taken a hell of a lot of time. It's as good as, if not better than, some of the things we have to pay for.
One minor point (cosmetic really) quite a few of the cross-over frogs in the track have continuous rails instead of gaps. Other than that, great stuff.
hectictea_ 10 Apr, 2017 @ 1:58am
Thanks again. It is a beautiful route and in a bit I may start editing it
heyjoe  [author] 10 Apr, 2017 @ 1:29am
Hi hecticea. I shall look forward to seeing your series it sounds like an interesting project. If you remember put a comment here when it is ready as I will have forgotten about it by 2018.
hectictea_ 9 Apr, 2017 @ 11:13pm
thanks heyjoe. to find my series just find the channel Hectictea 24 Productions on Youtube and at the start of 2018 it should be there. I am doing 15 series at 2 a year each with 10 episodes so it's very busy.
heyjoe  [author] 9 Apr, 2017 @ 1:21am
Hello hectictea. I don't mind at all if you want to use my route for a YouTube series. You can make changes as you wish and I suggest you make a clone of the route first and change the cloned version. Let me know how to find the series as I would be interested to see.
hectictea_ 8 Apr, 2017 @ 2:18pm
Hello would it be OK if whilst I finished my route for my YouTube series I used yours temporarily changing small things like platform markers?
Girmek 27 Mar, 2017 @ 10:48pm
I downloaded them as well, along with your other routes. Looking forward to run these others now.
heyjoe  [author] 27 Mar, 2017 @ 12:50pm
Hello Girmek. Many thanks for playing my route and making some comments. Pleased to hear like it. I have been publishing some scenarios for this route which you may like to try. They are all called Ragland Run and numbered 01 to 04 so far. There is also a free roam scenario called Ragland GWR Free Roam.
Girmek 27 Mar, 2017 @ 7:46am
Just downloaded after looking for decent maps on the Workshop. Really enjoyed this route. You can be justifiably proud of all the effort put into it, resulting in a fantastic experience. Well done.
heyjoe  [author] 24 Mar, 2017 @ 1:57am
Hi Paul. Many thanks for your comments. I hope you enjoy the route and scenarios. The route is designed for operational interest and there are plenty of options for scenario creation.
