and its done.. just had some confusion with the last "marshalling" instruction.. didnt know had to uncouple the cars.. did that and the scenario was completed successfully.. :-)

had some issues with this one..
i) first off i bypassed grey lands completely to reach virgilia track 2 south where my previous train was sitting..
ii) then i realised i had completely left grey lands behind. reversed all the way back form virgilia to grey land.
iii) did the first coupling, uncouplng properly.
iv) while trying to couple the cars sitting on the grey house track the loco went inside the cars.. i stopped and realised there is something wrong happening.
v) thought to give a shot and pushed on a bit further.. the loco did a summersault and derailed... :-)..

have cleared the cache.. want to try again now and c what happens.. :-)

Another fun and challenging step on the way to Oroville. I hope I don't get swept away by the floodwaters when I get there. Thanks for making it.

i cant believe all this time those tools were right there, i even found portals for AI, love it. Jio from Dovetail sent me a guide last week which covers everything. I'll add your info as well to my growing database. Thanks much Rudolf.

You may want to read my scenario authors guides: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/learning/tutorials/item/267-scenario_authors_guide_tutorial_rudolf

They are not yet completed (sorry) but I think you will find some interesting tricks there.

Rudolf, found all the makers I need in the "Track Infrastructure" menu. YAY! Thanks for the heads up.

Waypoint and "go via" markers are the only thing I know of. I didnt know...please let me know. (JOY)

You are aware you can add your own destination markers in a scenario?
RBJets  [author] 12 Feb, 2017 @ 5:09am
There is a destination marker there, the game itself does the mileage so I dont really have any control over it. I've had that happen before on other routes as well. I am mainly going to use Marshalling around manual switches in the futute. I did try to marshall to the other siding and realized not to mess around with the auto switches (dramatic music). Thanks for the info Rudolf and thanks bri. :)

hi ,this is another very good run ,not many speeding tickets on this one ,thanks ,bri

Great, just one comment. I would suggest to include a destination marker at greys, so you can give instructions where to reverse to the Greys yard. The HUD shows its still 2.5 miles, which clearly is not correct. This can be confusing. Marshalling can be nice, indeed, but you must be careful in areas where switches are set automatically. You can easily get stuck if you make a small error, because you cannot set switches.

Yea, that was my first "Marshall" task...came across a scenario on the Portland route it was all Marshalling. Got my interest. many more options open up now. Its pretty much shunting cars that are not sitting on assigned/labeled track so you enter the final destination. Thanks Ken.

Interesting switching exercise, wondering what will happen next. Thank you for your work.
