That's why it's called a3, which means Alpha 3. It's far from finished, so it will look bland.
It was made in 72 Hours for the 72 Hour tf2 map jam.

I personally make them in an easier program/game to map for such as Quake first, or make a basic A1 and then make the next version from scratch.
The latter way has been extremely helpful for me, as I don't have to fiddle around with messy brushwork or correct cramped areaas - I have the basic sketch to reference, but now I can model it more to my mind's plan of it.

I know, I also make maps. I wasn't aware that it was a WIP because the detailing looked fairly well-done and also the displacements have alpha paintings.

I dont mean to sound rude but if you knew it was in alpha you would know that I was eventually going to make it less empty.

Not to mention this map was done for the 72hour event, which left little time to do so.

I know but it's not like I planned on keeping it flat like that forever. When designing maps you start simple and flat then add on to it later once the gameplay is good.
