Hi daniel, indeed the route is not marked as final so Steam will not let you upload. I actually still have to run experiments with both original scenarios and DPS version scenarios to see if they will still run on this route (potentially through editor reload and saving first in some cases) due to the track improvements on top of the DPS mod. Would be handy to get my hands on that mod too as an in between point, but this seems unlikely at this point.

I was making a scenario for this route but apparently I cannot publish it to steam as the route has not been made final. Is this true?

Can I use this route as the base for a North Downs Line route? If you let me I will Credit you, if I am allowed to release my North Down Line route to the public using this route as it's base. I will have to extend this route slightly, these would be from Wokingham to Reading and Redhill to Gatwick Airport.

Just to note, the Arriva Trains DMU train set is no longer available for purchase on Steam as of the date of this post. If you need to get these for this route, you have a last chance as long as keys remain available on external sites, but otherwise it's gone. Just in case anyone later asks. The good news is it seems to be a Quick Drive consist and not otherwise required, so if you missed out you can drive a 444 instead. =)

Sorry if i missed the answer if this has already been asked but is it possible to run a journey from Alton all the way to Waterloo? so far i can only go as far as Woking but you can do this from Guildford to Waterloo i do know there is a service that runs from Alton to Waterloo

When i load it, i don't have track for the first mile or two. What could i do?

Is it possible to port scenarios from the stock PDL to this route? In other words, is this mainly a scenic update, based on the DPL version, or are there significant changes to the track layout such that scenario paths would be broken.

That is the Armstrong Powerhouse 150/2, which has a separate file directory from the original, so the reskin wouldn't work. There are also probably differences between the AP and the original versions which would mean that reskin can't be used on the AP version. I think nickdalad456 is talking about the required DTG Class 150/2, which was withdrawn (if you click on your link it only takes you to the main Steam homepage) but has reappeared in Steam now but with a different app number: 642808. I have no idea as to whether this is the same item as the now withdrawn 222567 or not, nor do I know if the Richard Fletcher repaint will work with this asset.

i have downloaded all requirements thats listed here but when i click on this route in train simulator it has other requirements that is now retired why not list these to and also where can we obtain them now?

For those having problems, it is easiest to download the files direct to your Dropbox account, either current or get one. Then copy the files downloaded to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/RailWorks/Assets

Oh joy. Living in the area covered by the Potsmoutgh electrics, this addition of the Alton route is magic. Just need some 4-COR and 2-BIL sets and to go down the Watercress Line now.

you have to paste the files into the folders that are the same in the train simulator core files.

I love the updates to the route especially as I live on the Alton line! I created a scenario for my friend, which he filmed to celebrate 450 subscribers on his YouTube channel and I think it shows off this section really well. Hiya, route is great and I love the added challenge of following some AI services. However I think I've found a small bug, on the Alton line. When departing Farnham (towards Alton), there is an AI train occupying the single line. Once it passes, I would expect the red signal and points preventing the player from moving, to change and give the player train access to the single line. However this doesn't happen; the AI 450 passes the player, and the signal stays at danger and the points don't go over.

Hi, i have downloaded your route and i tried it. But despite i have all the requirements, not all scenery are visible. What can i do?

Eventually, the plan will be to head towards Ascot. Work is currently being done to bring the existing sections on the main line up to scratch. We should have a nice treat for you soon though!

Idk if its just me but i seem to be getting the EFX or echo playing at all times on this route, i assue this isnt normal?

No station signs just yet, that'll come once I've finished the base scenery for all areas I want to be completed.

Gerardgeek any "newly updated" station 99% of times won't have station names because the OP did not make signs for the new stations.
