Wanted to know if this works with Zee's Grievance Mod. Just started playing with both and it seems like the benefits of Dynamic Diplomacy (mostly delayed unfriendly status in the beginning of the game) are not here anymore.

Hi All, I apologize for the late update on the mod.

Hi @Tankish @Spartak, @fsupple1: I apologize for the late reply. I'll be updating the mod within a week, Firaxis made some changes to where the files are stored but it shouldn't take me long to adjust it. I'll make sure that I update it so the different leader personas also have their agendas adjusted.

@Spartak I'm doing ok! I went through a rough patch but getting better now :) How are you? Which updates are you looking for, the persona ones?

@fsupple1 The mod should work currently, if you have an issue with it please let me know.

"Warmongering changes: Declared friends will now ignore warmongering penalties," I was playing a game where I had about 17 alliances. I committed a warmongering act, and as soon as the alliance treaties ended, I could only recover 5 of these with ease. The rest, although they did not denounce me and remained in a friendly relationship, they never accepted me again as a declared friendship, even if I tried to give them gifts. After a long time I managed to recover a single one of these alliances, giving him an exaggeratedly high amount of gifts. The strangest thing is that when I review the reasons why they have a certain relationship, in most of these cases, I have many positive factors and only one negative (different governments), at most it is added that I do not comply with one of their agendas but nothing more, but even so they do not accept a declared friendship.

@timmybigtoes: Sorry to hear that, and thank you. Please let me know if you're still running into this issue. I've checked the code and it did get pushed out with the last update. Is it possible the leader you were looking to ally with doesn't have writing?

@Cyber Brain and @cobber51: Thank you for your feedback! After looking into it more, I saw that the Diplomatic Actions table was updated at some point to separate out each individual type of alliance. I don't think that was the case before. The action to form an alliance itself just required writing, but the individually broken down ones still had civil service listed as the required civic.

I just pushed an update that fixes it, please let me know if there are any issues still. There definitely used to be conflicts between UI mods like @cobber51 mentioned but in this case it seems to be a DB change that triggered it.

Sounds like you have a UI mod that you're using that's somehow conflicting with this mod. My thoughts are that if the button is missing, because as you say you're not using any other mod that touches diplomacy so clearly that isn't the source of the problem, then it couldn't be anything else but a UI mod that's the source instead, as they can be very easily overlooked as conflict sources because of the subtle way those sorts of files sometimes interact with otherwise unrelated mods.

@Cyber Brain: Glad to hear it works. The mod does move alliances to the writing tech, it also moves research agreements to writing.

I'll test this out to see why you're not able to form alliances. I'll post an update here with the test results. Do you have any other mods installed that affect alliances? It's possible there's a conflict.

You need to manually enable this mod in the game menu after subscribing it.

@Shanks_ZLR: Hmm they should be less angry at you early, but the mod doesn't really help with warmongering penalties, I'll take another look to see what it does in that regard. Thanks for trying it out though!

@Exmanter: Could you please let me know which version of the game you're using? I've been testing it and it doesn't show that error for me.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're all doing well. I've added friendship bonuses for Vietnam, Kublai and Portugal:

- Lady Trieu: Encampments provide +1 culture
- Kublai: Barracks provide +2 gold
- Joao III: Harbors provide +1 production

Looking at all of the bonuses I've noticed there are some that could use some minor tweaking. I'll be working to adjust those soon.

I'm hoping to make it easy to understand how to make changes to the mod, or potentially easily create versions of it. I'll post an update here within the next week or two based on what I might be able to come up with.

Please let me know if you have any constructive feedback or if any issues come up. Thank you as always for your interest!

@LillianTes: This mod shouldn't need the DLCs, please let me know if you're having trouble with it. I've been testing launching the game in vanilla and the xpack/dlc combinations after making changes to make sure it doesn't cause problems. For the friendship bonuses it detects which xpacks/dlcs are installed through the game database.

@Wuren, =[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil: Glad to hear you guys made the changes! I didn't realize the government penalties were conflicting with several other mods. Sorry about this but I'm pretty sure the update for the new civs will replace that file even when no changes will be made, please back them up so you can restore them more easily. I'll think about creating another version, or at least including a section about how to change those values manually.

@Bad Apple Banzai: Amplifying the agendas is an interesting idea, another version of the mod would be needed though. I'll definitely think about creating one. If someone wants to create it I'm fine with that too!

@lilMobStick: I'll look into that mod to see if I can make it compatible with this one.

@TheUltimateGod4: I'll look into whether this mod conflicts with the "ignore warmongering" mod, thanks for notifying me they might be incompatible.

@cobber51: Thanks for that info, I think the changes made to adjust for the pre-NFP March 2020 update should keep them compatible but I'll double check.
