kwonsj8244 18 Oct, 2022 @ 8:47am
A phenomenon in which the new religion of the sea is not applied to fishing boats with resources has been found. Do you know how to take action against this action?
killpoohXIe 3 Apr, 2021 @ 7:30pm
고맙습니다 덕분에 해양문명 하기 좋아졌습니다

Already tried with Indonesia and yes it broke the game
god of being bad at everything 13 Mar, 2021 @ 2:32am
good lord this could become absurdly broken with indonesia with a simple pattern
islapyou 12 Jan, 2021 @ 10:35am
loved this mod. however... playing in multiplayer is impossible. you get de-synced after 1 turn
SucháVoda 29 Apr, 2020 @ 3:11pm
Napstablook? Glad that someone still knows undertale :D

I'll look into it; there might be something I could do. I thought Amber had the SEA tag but apparently it does not. Still, there might be another way to handle this and I'll see if I can't manage it.
masimp101 17 Feb, 2020 @ 8:55am
Yes, it works on most. I think Amber has an issue (probably because it can appear on land as well). I think there was one other resource, but I lost the paper I had written down which resources had issues or not.

This mod is great - makes coastal cities quite powerful, and absolutely OP when combined with Venetian Arsenal and Auckland (vanilla). Add expanded religions for Temple of Poseidon (+1 production on ALL fishing boats)...and you basically have the unstoppable empire of Atlantis. :)
fhqwhgads  [author] 15 Feb, 2020 @ 5:10pm
@masimp101 It SHOULD work on any resource that has the <SEA> tag, which I would assume would be custom resources added by other modders. If they don't add the <SEA> tag to their resources that seems kinda bad.
masimp101 15 Feb, 2020 @ 9:14am
I understand it may not be a good idea to let the pantheon give +1 prod to all fishing boats (with resources). My reasoning to support that is due to various resource mods it's possible to play an aquatic map and see only a small handful of fish, crabs, pearls, and whales because they had been replaced by salmon, turtles, amber, cod, sharks, sponge, orca, etc. Basically, this makes God of the Sea nearly useless to any person using resource mods.
fhqwhgads  [author] 29 Nov, 2019 @ 3:28pm
I'm honestly a bit torn, I still don't think it's a good idea to just give a pantheon with +1 production to spammable fishing boats. It should still work with mods that add resources, as the mod doesn't check for specific resources in the code, it checks for the <SEA> tag, which I assume any modder will add to resources that can go in the water. I could update the tooltip to be more clear on this.
masimp101 28 Nov, 2019 @ 9:19am
Can't speak for others, but I'd really appreciate it. Really enjoy using this mod. Makes island maps much more entertaining and coastal cities a bit more realistic imo.
fhqwhgads  [author] 22 Nov, 2019 @ 11:05pm
@masimp101 Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I haven't paid much attention to this mod but that's an easy change.
masimp101 22 Nov, 2019 @ 9:35pm
Given the change to God of the Sea now being +1 production to all fishing boats, any plans to change the mod up so it's no longer restricted solely to specific resources to allow compatibility with mods that add additional sea resources?
Ingolenuru 1 Nov, 2019 @ 1:26pm
Thank you very much. I agree this mod is definitely still needed. Getting to Seaports means you are very far into the game already so this mod definitely has a place.
fhqwhgads  [author] 1 Nov, 2019 @ 1:03pm
I'm not aware of any conflicts with the September patch. Should work fine.
Ingolenuru 30 Oct, 2019 @ 12:41pm
Can we get a 'Sept patch okay'? Please. :)
lightbrigade43 8 Apr, 2019 @ 7:08am
Your mod doesn't seem to work after the 2017 update.
democracy's little pogchamp 3 Mar, 2019 @ 12:22pm
It works with GS, but it's kinda busto with the Maori culture bomb on fishing boats. Just something to keep in mind for folks playing with this mod.
kyllebylle 24 Feb, 2019 @ 5:41am
@Napstablook, Alright then this one isn't for me but thanks for a great trial and response.
fhqwhgads  [author] 23 Feb, 2019 @ 4:15pm
@kyllebylle Well, the goal was to make fishing boats like farms, except in the water--and farms do give +0.5 Housing. I just didn't change the fishing boat housing from the base game. I don't have any plans currently to remove the housing from them, as I believe housing is a more abstract concept than simply living space (it's also about food access, which is why a granary for example increases housing).
lightbrigade43 23 Feb, 2019 @ 11:56am
Thanks for this mod!
Pompey 20 Feb, 2019 @ 2:46pm
Out of date... incompatiable ....
kyllebylle 19 Feb, 2019 @ 2:38am
@Napstablook. Loved the mod, it's stupid that there's only one person in the world in the base game that knows how to fish properly. That said, I feel like the +0.5 housing is op and a bit unthematic for my taste. Any chance on a non-housing verision? :) <3
BKGamesPI 18 Feb, 2019 @ 5:34pm
seems to be working just says its out of date etc.
BKGamesPI 18 Feb, 2019 @ 1:20pm
im trying it in my game today as Dido I will let you know what happens
BKGamesPI 18 Feb, 2019 @ 1:19pm
The addition of The Cothon (Harbor) I assume would mess this up?
fhqwhgads  [author] 16 Feb, 2019 @ 2:47pm
It may still work, try it out (even if it says it's incompatible). At minimum though I will get to doing a compatibility update after I do Wondrous Wonders.
CthulhuSpawn 16 Feb, 2019 @ 2:02pm
Any hope of any update for Gathering Storm?
tenthousandimmortals 28 Dec, 2018 @ 5:12pm
Great mod. Just tested it and it works fine on iOS!
Shyning 26 Oct, 2018 @ 5:31pm
Haven't noticed any issue so yes, I guess they did ! Thanks for the info.
fhqwhgads  [author] 25 Oct, 2018 @ 9:06pm
@Shyning It shouldn't, provided those mods tagged the resources with the SEA tag. Which I assume they did, I don't use them myself, but I would bet they work properly.
Shyning 13 Oct, 2018 @ 1:02am
Does your God of the Sea edit conflict with the addition of ressources which are boosted by God of the Sea ? (for Ressourceful 2, Suk' Ressources etc)
fhqwhgads  [author] 11 Jul, 2018 @ 8:10pm
@Mysterius Yes, you need to start a new game with the mod enabled for it to work.
Mysterius 27 Jun, 2018 @ 3:25pm
Do you need to start a new game? I added the mod to my existing game and i can't build fishing boats on water tiles.
GoldeatH 26 May, 2018 @ 1:16pm
apparently i can't play with your mod with other mods weird because no one of them affect water tiles or harbor
fhqwhgads  [author] 14 May, 2018 @ 4:25pm
It will work for it, yes. It's not very well balanced with the new Fishery improvement but it will work!
danalea73 13 May, 2018 @ 9:17am
I'm using it with R&F, for whats that's worth.
Olafr_the_Viking 24 Apr, 2018 @ 10:16am
Is this mod compatible with Rise & Fall DLC yet?
Library of Alexandria 10 Mar, 2018 @ 5:11pm
I mean, the fish farms could be a governer bonus, but wouldn't that also mean that the resources couldn't be improved w/o governer?
fhqwhgads  [author] 10 Mar, 2018 @ 10:02am
Honestly, what I might do is allow cities with a Lighthouse build Fisheries, and change the governor ability to something else.
Library of Alexandria 4 Mar, 2018 @ 6:45pm
I, personally, reckon that in order for this mod to be balanced with Rise and Fall, fisheries will need to be HUGELY buffed. These fish farms give ~10 total tile yields at best, so why not make fisheries give ~20 total (with all the ajacencies)?
fhqwhgads  [author] 16 Feb, 2018 @ 8:08pm
I will do something with this mod in Rise and Fall, not sure what yet though. For the moment my other mods need updates badly, but I will revisit this one at some point.
Duncan Hills Coffee 13 Feb, 2018 @ 8:29am
Loved playing with this mod, however with the new Governor ability to build Fisheries I don't think I can play with this anymore as it basically gives you a free governor with a promotion. I still do love the changes you made to the Harbor though, do you think you could release this mod but without the Fishing Boats and just the Harbor changes?
Audie 8 Feb, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Seems to work fine with Rise and Fall.
fhqwhgads  [author] 22 Jan, 2018 @ 9:04pm
@PsychoHam Religion Expanded doesn't seem to conflict with the mod on my end. Are you sure it's not another mod? Religion Expanded doesn't seem to change base pantheons at all. Is there a particular problem?
fhqwhgads  [author] 15 Jan, 2018 @ 11:01pm
I'll have a look, though the God of the Sea change was done for balance reasons. I'll do what I can if the code isn't too incompatible.
PsychoHam 14 Jan, 2018 @ 9:47am
Hello, me and a friend started getting some trouble starting up games when we used this mod. we use a plethora of other mods, but one in particular may be what's causing the trouble: Religion Expanded, due to the "God of the Sea" pantheon. you might want to try and make sure this mod is compatible with Religion Expanded. thx!
