I've enjoyed this map a lot, with both real mountains and water, trains, for me it' was the best workshop's map. I will wait the mods to be updated with the last game version to play it again

Industrial zones do not get populated. I have tried this map several times with different themes and each time I have the same problem. Too bad because I really liked this map.

@OLDYBUTCRAFTY my PC would burn with such population... and I'd be counting seconds per frame instead of fps ;-) I never used road themes mods so I can't help you really, but I am pretty sure it should be possible, that's what mods are about - giving you more possibilities :)

Error you are getting is caused by mods (.net exception or sth) and in my knowledge has nothing to do with maps. Especially with maps that do not use any custom assets and this is what I do on my maps.
If you are using 81 Tiles mod, many people are getting the same error since Mass Transit. Check mod's comments and discusion on this issue for more information.
You could try using mod's option to unlock all tiles with one click (see mod options menu). When I was getting similar errors, validating game files/clearing cache usually was helping.
Anyway thanks again for the review. I hope ar some point I will have some time to create more mapps for awsome C:S community :-)

My pop is up to 240K now, 69 tiles, no issues at all. Most enjoyable map I have ever used. Everything works on it.
I would like to try North American theme. Is there a way to do that with this map?

@OLDYBUTCRAFTY, you don;t need road connection mods to build on whole map. Just the 81 tile mod. More road connections just gives you more possibilities :-)

I have been playing it since the post. Awesome map. Very playable and relaxing to build on.
I'm at 22k pop and still on the first tile. I can't wait to get on your beautiful mountains with a chair lift or two. Is there a way to build remote villages not only at the edges without road connections. A mod I missed perhaps?

@OLDYBUTCRAFTY, yup, 81 tiles mod by Bloody Penguin allows you to build on the whole map. And with some extra mods like Any Road Outside Connections or Unlimited Outside Connections (also by BloodyPenguin) you could modify outside connections freely :-) I find playing on 81 tiles entertaining as it allows you to build remote villages, larger farms and generally gives you more area to build on. I ussually make my maps 100% playable with default 25 tiles and just do not ignore the rest making it suitable to build on if you're using 81 tiles mod.

@Hobbes, I usually try to paint lane markings on highways while playing the game as well as more complicated intersections. The problem is I never have enough time to actually play the game ;-) I didn't really play Cities Skylines since posting those maps... I started another map, but can't tell when it will be finished.

@Khanador – that's all most helpful! I did use "force tunnel" mode in my initial attempt and later had the idea to try "straight slopes" to prevent the tunnel from trying to follow the terrain's elevation, but had not tested it yet. Good to know that it should solve that issue.

I suspected about as much regarding the lane markings after not finding the texture pack in the workshop, but you did a very nice job so I was thoroughly fooled! Did you do the whole map or just parts you took screen shots of? I would ultimately like to do realistic (thick) Swiss chevrons, but might need to create some new assets first.

@Hobbes, yup, fine Road Tool. It allows you to force ground/evevated/bridge etc. Straight Slope is also great tool (eg. normal tunnels don't go that deep underground).

I don't use any specific road textures besides those forced by Map Theme. If you mean the road markings for merging/splitting lanes on the screenshot with the intersection... It's been detailed ingame using prop anarchy and line props :-)

@Khanador – thank you very much for the tips. I don't understand quite what you mean about how to switch roads between ground and tunnel modes (you mean in Fine Road Tool, or…?), but I managed anyway to replace the tunnels successfully with a single curvy Two-Way Highway.

Would you mind sharing what mods/assets are needed for roads to look like your screenshots (e.g., the white diagonal impending-barrier markings and darkened shoulders/edges)? I tried Roads United Europe and Germany, but neither had those features.

@Hobbes, feel free. Changing southern exit (with tunnel) might be tricky, because road is pretty deep (Tip: while replacing force "ground" road and switch back to tunnel when ready).
Another suggestion - using "Any road outside connection" build national road in the valley to the south east. It fits perfectly and that's what I did while testing the map :)

@Khanador – oh, of course. I completely forgot those assets were supplied by NE. My mistake! :P I'd like to try to edit it in the map editor and replace with 2 lanes for my own use, but if you're interested I'll provide it back to you so that you can post an alternate version with Network Extensions dependency. Thanks so much for your beautiful work and prompt reply!

@Hobbes, thanks for your comment. I did it intentionally. Not everyone plays with mods like Network Extentions, which implements 2-lane highways, and I try to keep my map as open for players as possible (for same reason I use default trees only) :-)

Switzerland only has two-lane autobahns, as far as I'm aware of. Is this an oversight or did you choose three-lane highways across the map for a reason? Very nice otherwise!

@raphavasquez, I found the "cave in" ;-) There has been 2 segments in the tunnel facing wrong direction. Tunnel is too deep to see the error in map editor, but using 'one-way street arrows' mod in normal game revealed bad segments. Map fixed and updated. Thanks for feedback!

Look closely you have just 3 roads leaving the area of the map , the number 1 just leave the map, the number 2 leaves after a few tunnels, and the number 3 ( bugged) leaves after one big tunnel under the mountain , this is the one without connection even at your own photos this road is always empty.
