Hi Wolfy, I didn't manually change any tags myself, Heh cause I don't know much about how they work to be honest. But from what you've shown me it'd definitely make sense that they should say SHOULDER_OVERRIDE. I'd love to hear how you go with this so I can maybe learn something ;)

Hi Aherin, I don't know if steam has a way to message people directly so I'm posting here.

I'm trying to create a personal modpack with your mod but GUTS gives an error regarding tags. When running your mod through TL2 Tag Fixer the only tag missing was this one from line 60 in your OLD_MAN_LOGAN_CHAMPION.DAT file.

Am I right in assuming that is supposed to be SHOULDER_OVERRIDE?

K just checked it and it works fine on my end. Only thing I can say is maybe there's a mod conflict mucking up the recipe or you might not have put the correct type of claws in?

Hmm I haven't touched this since April 2nd, and it was working fine as far as I know. I'll take a look just in case though. Let me know if you sorted it yourself.

Can not create claws
2 Blue rare claws and the lvl 40 potion. Leaves one empty slot to combine and will not combine just the 2 claws and the lvl 40 potion :/
Anyone else have this probolem?

Interesting ideas man, you do know though that the claws are already a set that provides health regen when both equipped? I have thought about expanding the set to include more items and effects. It's a case of finding the time and making sure it's not too over-powered ☺

As a last note perhaps logan could have a extremely low drop rate (vanilla legendary drop rate) of you finding a summoning spell in the item area for logan's imaginary military friend (see the Xmen comic volumes). Baically this guy is a figment of Logan's imagination as a psychic by product of the suffering he went through that resulted him gainning adatanium claws in the 2nd movie. If you don't know what I'm refering to just comment so and I'll try and find a good reference page to reply back with.

I just had a novel idea. Since the 2 claws inheritantly go together, could you make them a 2-piece set with a passive healing bonus if both claws are equiped? As for the set passive, it was inspired by the idea that logan's mutation is extreme self healing (especially apparent in the Xmen movie). Maybe this could even gradually expand to 2 rings and an amulet for elemental resistance since logans mutation makes him almost impossible to kill in the first place (again inspired by the movies). As for the set name I was thinking of using the "Xmen" or "Mutation", something to invoke the image of Xmen being humens with exceptional beneficial mutations combined with the theory that the gear itself was mutated by the ember blight to give mutational bonuses which can be drawn from the story line of the first Torchlight game. The more pieces, the more passive's so other idea's related to logan could be a higher resistance percentage to elements".

ypu need to clean up your sceenshots. too many pics show the 2 unique claws and none show a claw with the adatanium description. It would be nice if your p reflected the updated mod and you dumped the obsolete pics.

damn oh well, it does remind me of my block indicator mod i made ages ago. I think I could use the block trigger to differentiate between player and monster blocks..

I'm not sure but I think its not possible to input subtypes other than it offers.

hmm yeah I had a look in triggerable actions, is that the right place? I can see subtype as one of the options. I wonder if it's posible to make your own subtype, like shieldat5% for example

The only way I can think of right now, is to overwrite the forcefield's unittheme with another when the time comes up.

I've looked into it too before, turns out the forcefield is a unittheme itself that activates another unittheme after it ends.

I'm now working on something more complicated for me, heh that forcefield indicator.
Have you got an idea where I should go with it? I've made a red forcefield particle for now and set it as a unit theme. I want forcefield to change to this unit theme when it has 5 or 10% left in it. Is it a trigger I have to make?

No, I didn't re-roll the world; yes, lvl 60 was gained through leveling assisted by console command.

I was lvl 45 when I warped out of sawmill, made my character into lvl 60, I went back to sawmill with the open portal, all monsters there are still lvl 40 but when I entered Logan's place, monsters and drops became at level with my lvl 60 character. Monsters' lvl could be higher (60+ not sure), I forgot to looked at them.

btw did you need to reroll world to make it work? And was the sawmill level 38-40 (as in first play through level?)

I've tested this with my first play through character, concocted it into level 60, went to abandoned sawmill, killed feral spirit, portal opened and went in, defeated Logan and his werewolf compatriots, picked up lvl 60 essence, went back to town, transmuted essence with 2 rare claws, and finally got my lvl 60 unique gifts from Logan. :)

You can remove the "level 60" hints on the name and description because the mod is working just fine.

Oh yeah thanks for checking in doudley :) The only thing is if you could check if the essence is dropping properly for you. Have you got any characters that are still in the first play through but around level 60? I want to see if the loot matches properly. I've matched the logan spirit and old man logan to player level. The idea is that people can use this mod whatever level or ng tier theyre in and get some useful loot..

I already did that yesterday danielmratliff21 :) Actually doudley I think I pretty much ended up doing what you said for the description. Logan's Will is now: "Logan's Will was unbreakable, as were his adamantium claws."

You good man? Anything I can help you with? The claws' description would be better if it has more info in there. Adding the adamantium word is cool but that doesn't mean you had to imply that owners will gain the actual metal, you can simply mention that his will is unbreakable as an adamantium steel....or something like that. Could be more metaphorical than literal. Either way they are still all about Logan.

Ok actually it's alright :) I just looked at Lone Wolf McQuade's Dungeon Match Mod and it looks like you'll just need to reroll the world to make the loot sync with the player. I'll add this to the description :)

Hmm I'm encountering a problem where the logan's rest dungeon loot won't match the player level. I can make the monsters match level but I can't seem to make the loot match. This means that it only drops what is set for that NG playthrough. I want the player to be able to open the portal no matter what level or ng they're on and have the essence drop that's right for them. I'll keep trying I guess!

Hey I got a logans essence (level 40) drop from the dessert area in the second town (New to this game cant remember names) It dropped from just a normal mob not even an elite. I was only level 23 when it happened. Dont know if a random drop chance was intended or there is something not working properly. it wouldn't fuse with any of my claw items, but that is probably because they are only level 20 items.

Heh well I thought about it a bit more and decided just to do it. It's cool to have the description mention unbreakable adamantium, then have shieldbreaker as one of the affixes :) Thanks for the input @danielmratliff21 :D

Maybe I can add it to the description for Logan's Resolve? Ie "His strength endured through endless hardship, as did his adamantium claws" How does that sound?

Yeah man I'm still working on a description that includes adamantium that makes sense. I wanted to try and keep the focus on the character of Logan himself and have the weapons as a manifestation of his most powerful traits - resilience and healing. Logan's actual adamantium claws are attached to his skeleton and are unbreakable, so it seems a bit silly to me that the player can then wield them. Like how could they even remove them? I'm going for the idea that you pour some of Logan's essence on a pair of claws and instill them with Logan's traits instead.

can you please insert something about adatanium in the claw descriptions. Or if you don't Mind adding it to the claws name would be the best touch. "Logans Adatanium Will" & "Logans Adatanium Resolve"

*Mod now updated*
-Logan's Rest now matches player level from 40 to 100 now (was 70 to 100)
-Old Man Logan will now drop one of 4 essences based on your level range.
-Use the essence to craft either a Level 40, Level 60, Level 80 or Level 100 set of claws.
-See Mod pics for item stats.

*Please test this out for me and let me know if the level ranges for the essences seem ok etc.

Sweet man, got it working :) Now all I have to do is make 2 new versions of the claw sets and make recipes for them. I'll try to use a different icon for each essence - same colour but small medium and large looking.
