causes lag on initial loading, i think because of very large audio files. Someone optimizing this w ould be great
Schlagschinken 2. maj 2022 kl. 6:21
with experimenting around i figured 1 thing out.
The audio from the Voice pack (and probably the other too loud ones) are not adjustable with the ingame volume sliders. even with Master volume on 0 the voices where earbusting.
amazingly, if the voice is from an alien (like the Hutt cartel mod) its fine, just if i use them it has issues.

Thanks for the response though im currently trying to find the problem in a broader sense. maybe i can fix the Loud intro sound and Start music as well that way XD

the voice pack volume is random i have over 20 of them and half the time i hear nothing others they are so loud im like holy hell that was loud its not just this one

To be honest I haven't looked at it or used it since I released it 5 years ago. At a guess, I'd say that all the cues probably had their volume increased because I felt that was required at the time when testing it in legacy X2. Maybe something changed in WOTC so now it is too loud. The only way to adjust it would be to open all the packs in the toolset and edit the cues.

not sure where the problem is. but for some reason this voice pack is Incredibly loud. compared to the vanilla and other mod voices its at least twice as loud.
i love it but i also would love to know where to fix this issue as i dont really want my eardrums explode everytime i give a command

no need to edit files just use the AML it makes all mods load even those without the wotc flags in them sometimes it will mean longer loading times but the game will load and after the first time being a long load if left unchanged it will get quicker when loading

If anyone is still having issues with WOTC go to the mods folder, open SWAliensVoicePack, and add RequiresXPACK=true under publishedFileId=884008088. That made the voices pop up in WOTC for me.

Each voice template for the vanilla soldiers is labelled. You'll need to duplicate the lines for any voice templates you want and assign them to the factions soldiers by adding the faction template to the end of the line. For example, to make Neimoidian available for males of all three factions:

If you want them for females as well, you'll need duplicate lines changed to Gender=eGender_Female

How do I add in the provisions, and into which ini file?
DrDCB  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2020 kl. 6:31
It works fine in WOTC, it just doesn't have provision for the faction soldiers. You can always add those to the ini yourself.
Silent0wls 8. nov. 2020 kl. 23:59
Aws, I'm grateful but sad that it's not for WOTC.

There's no apparent compatibility issue as far as I can tell, besides the icon in the vanilla launcher. I'm using it myself and haven't had any issues so far. It's not usable for the WOTC resistance factions, but then it isn't thematically appropriate anyway, so I have no particular interest in updating it for that.
Rex705 10. sep. 2017 kl. 12:41
Will we get a WOTC version for compatibility sake? Also we need more female voice it's sad to only have 1. Also R2D2 for Sparks would be awesome.

YESSSSSSS NOW I CAN HAVE GREEDO! Ahahahahahahahahaha!@
DrDCB  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2017 kl. 8:13
I probably should have done that myself during testing, but I only kept a couple for my personal pool. All the rest are long since deleted.
santaklaus1991 20. juni 2017 kl. 23:11
Now all we need is for someone to add a character pool with a bunch of these premade like they did for the mass effect races.

I always thought the Imperial armour kinda looked like ass, so there is pretty much zero chance of me ever doing anything with that.

Some bits and pieces of the Republic trooper gear probably wouldn't look too out of place in X2, but I have no real compulsion to mess with it.

Complex body skinning isn't my thing. I could get away with the HK droids because they only needed very simple skin weights. The only body stuff I am likely to pursue in the future is the SCORPIO/GEMINI droids and maybe cobbling together some existing X2-compatible body parts from other people where the hard work has already been done. Unless someone else volunteers to do all the skinning work for me anyway.
Willow 24. mar. 2017 kl. 1:56
I know you've been telling people no armour! But I really wanna see the Imperial Trooper armour that is from SWTOR!

Thanks for this, though. Is awesome.
DrDCB  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2017 kl. 23:22
@Foust: No, I have no plans to do so.

@Kurt: I would assume that is an issue with the size of the soundbank. Maybe CPU or RAM related perhaps. What are your system specs.
Kurt 19. mar. 2017 kl. 21:03
For some reason any soldier with one of these voices causes the game to freeze for 2-5 seconds whenever they speak a voice clip for the first time on a turn. Specifically, Weequay, Trandoshan, Bith, and Gand are the ones that I've noticed do this.
Foust 19. mar. 2017 kl. 14:05
Is there a way to add radio effect to these voices and are you considering doing so?
Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon) 18. mar. 2017 kl. 7:17
You're such a tease.
Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon) 18. mar. 2017 kl. 7:17
Dang it... :steamsad:
DrDCB  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2017 kl. 7:03
@Zaku No plans for any armour. In SWTOR they just have them in standard dresses/robes anyway. But if you are that keen, there's a little something in the latest head pack you can find with a bit of INI diving. Not really ready for primetime, but maybe you won't mind.
Zaku II (Alias WatcherZigzagoon) 17. mar. 2017 kl. 13:57
TUSKEN RAIDERS?! Okay, You better be working on an armor set to go with that voice, or I will be...unable to do a thing about it...
