is there a crossbow mod that doesn't require a crossbow?

the red circle enchanted thing looks good but its too much damage, not even my best two handed weapons with lots of enchantments does that damage

this is to over powered for me, i'll just looks for something similar but weaker, like a vampiric crossbow (asorb 25 hp)

The item ID for it is "MODWepVampireCrossBow". I have also added it to qasmoke. It is on the table with the spoons.

Anumbskull any possibility you have the item ID for the crossbow lying around anywhere so I can do player.additem vampirecrossbowid 1 for example? If not would it be too much trouble to put it in the 'coc qasmoke' Editor Smoke Test Room?

I think its abit too OVERPOWERED 900 health?!?! you can kill a dragon with that just like 1 shot it even in EXTRA HARD DIFFICULTY!

The door only exists at the start, once the cathedral turns into a load area your mod doesnt work

cant find the room, have finished dawnguard if that makes a difference

@The_Borg the door is on the wall directly behind the blood fountain where you first become a vampire. if this does not work then the mod is not loaded correctly.

@ory, you do need to buy dawngaurd but it is like 30 max. well worth it in my opinion. the reason mods need it is same as oblivion mods needed skyrim at the end. there is so much new stuff it is pulling on (for isntances the crossbows) that it needs it for the files/support. if people where to rip out the crossbows and offer it for free to non dawnguard players it breaches copyright and the mod gets pulled.

If you want to play with Dawnguard mods/ items you need the files that come with the Dawnguard DLC. Its like buying batteries for a toy, the batteries dont work by themselves because you dont have the toy.

Yes I know this crossbow is overpowered because that was the point behind it and why it is under the cheats category. This mod is ment to be fun and thats it.

this is over powered and cross bow in skyrim are given to kill vampires not help them

great idea for a mod however the enchant seems rather high. 900 damage a second could kill alduin on master difficulty in 5 seconds (1 measly shot)
