Very good news guys! I have the mod working in total war 2. There are just a few minor bugs I need to iron out. Other than that it will be released along with the companion mod very soon!!!

Since theres no message, no this is not even close to lore friendly, please dont go posting on forums that these are 'knightly orders' of bretonnia, to those of you that dont know much about the WH universe. 4 tables are incompatible with the new game. I have to go through the 4 tables and find the values that no longer exist. Unfortunately, the PFM tells me what tables have the errors (highlighted yellow), but it doesn't tell me what those errors are. I will eventually be able to port this over for ME, but it will have to wait until I have time to do so.

This is a unit mod that adds new units. It also works well with SFO. I should make a second version thats a little nerfed for vanilla, but everyone is playing TWW2 at the moment so it will have to wait.

The companion mod reskins the existing Bretonnia units (check out the screen shots on the page), changes a few stats like unit size, and adds a sword and sheild as well as a halberd version of the squire unit. It also gives the grail reliquae the "rally" ability.

so i am a little confused about this mod and the companion mod, are they both SFO compatible and do they both contain seperate units or does the companion mod contain the units from this mod ? also if i wanted all the units SFO compatible should i Use both mods?

Good news! I've started adding the mounted versions of the Knights to the mod! i've also created and nearly done with a Lore Friendly Reginal Recruitment Mod Compatiability Mod for this crazy awesome mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=836552166 .

I know the mod as it is now stands up well in the Steel Faith Overhaul mod, but I'm also considering creating another, more compatible version to make the units for balanced for SFO if you guys are interested.

Let me know your thoughts. As always, I hope you guys are enjoying my mod.

Bretonnia is my favorite faction. Can you make a mounted version of the knights, i.e. give them horses? That would be damn awesome. I'd love that. Anyways, thanks a lot! Cheers.

One more update, changed the colors and shield on the Knights of the Fluer de Lys. They should match their cavalry counterpart that CA created. I hope you enjoy.

Added the House Hold Knights today. They have the same stats as the Hedge Knights, just a different model. They are simple and will take your faction's colors. They also differ in the fact that their formation is a square and not random.

Finally added the Hedge Knights. I borrowed the variantmesh (model/design) from Cataph's Bretonnian Footknight mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=694583572)

I loved his model so much, and it was exactly what I wanted for my Hedge Knights, that I decided to just use his model and color table. The rest was easy.

I appreciate everyone's patience, I work full time and I also go to school full time so it's not easy finding time to work on this mod.

Something is wrong with the new version, causing it to crash when loading battles, even without using units from the mod, I have updated with an older version of mine dating back to mid July. I'm going to try to get the proper version out ASAP.

Luckily, I have my Empire campaign to play because the mod being broken has ripped the teeth out of my Bretonnian armies. I loved the new units so much, I made them the core of my forces :D

Hey bro, it is a great mod to play. But there is some problems after today's updating. Due to some reasons it keeps crushing the game. Tried to fix it on my own by using PFM, but there is just too many data to deal with. But still thank you for the hard work to proved us such a great mod, hope the problems are going to be fixed soon. Thank you!

So I took your advice and I checked out the Knights of the Empire mod and it is beautiful. Really inspired me to step up me game. That being said I will finish balancing my mod with his as reference, add more polish to the mod page and release the lore, eliminate the men at arms buffs from this mod and release my Bretonnia companion mod. After this is done (give me a week or two) I will begin working on the mounted knights.

Yes, this is my first mod. I learned to mod through Sebidee's tutorials and a lot of reverse engineering and trial and error. anyone can mod if you have the time and patience.

About the mounted units, i've thought of a unit and is called the Lance of the lady. couldn't think of any frenchy words though, lol. Pegasus and the hippogryph knights would be really nice to improved on!

Ahh.. the moddy stuffs, i tried to search but can't find something related to auras and stuff. sorry i can't help but, i'm pretty sure you can ask in the forum.

It's really good that you as a modder is working very hard to improve the mod! Non topic but, is this your first mod by any chance? if so, you're doing a fine damn job. keep working like that and you might be one of the top modders of Warhammer total war in teh future! :D

Hmm.. The Bretonnian knightly orders are supposed to be stronger than the knighty orders of the empire, so making the foot knights stronger than the dismounted ones in the "knights of the empire" would make sense! and since the fact that the Bretonnian knights are really well taken cared of.

There's no need to create mounted versions of each order like the Empire mod but a separate one would be extremely nice. i have some names for them if you like and would make plots for them. how about a Knightly order of dismounted grail knights? but more better looking and more elite! The knights of the light or the Divine guardians something.

I don't have any plans to release any mounted units. I have been toying with the idea of creating mounted versions of each order, but that would be a very large project and this mod took a little over a month of hard work to write. So I like the idea, not ready to make the commitment.
Creating new dismounted knights isn't an issue though, I can make them quickly.

As for my units being able to add specific attributes to other near by units (via aura) has proven to be more complicated than I thought. I can use the _encourage attribute to add a leadership bonus to nearby soldiers (all the knights have this attribute), but I have not been able to figure out how to add other attributes the same way like charge reflector vs large, etc. I do really like the concept and I want to learn more about modding to accomplish this.

Balancing has proven to be more difficult than I thought and I've received little feedback and specifics on how I can improve them. I've actually been spending most of my time testing and balancing in campaigns. Having the mod be a great addition to the vanilla game while still not being outclassed by new units from other popular unit mods, such as the glory mods, is challenging. I want the to feel powerful, unique, and valuable without them steamrolling everything. After all, they are but men who can be defeated.

I do appreciate the suggestion to check out the knights of the empire and using them as a reference. That's probably the most constructive feedback I've received so far and I plan to do so at the earliest opportunity.

That's really my thing. who doesn't love the majestic colors of Black and yellow? and speaking of parravon, how about adding a knightly order of Pegasus knights? and also the hippogryphs? that'll be really cool.

Hmm.. about the Men at arms, how about unique versions of men at arms for each the knightly orders? (granting them anti-large if they're under the knight of ardens)

It's already great that you've not abandoned the mod and continueing to improve the mod. (or even replying to my comment on that matter lol.)

I have the next version underway. I've played a few campaigns with it already. The units will be more powerful and feel more unique, but will also have a higher upkeep. In addition, I will be adding a new unit. I also have added the color schemes to the Parravon sub faction if that's your thing.

I am also toying with the idea of eliminating the changes to the men at arms in this mod and releasing my personal, seperate, Bretonnia mod that reskins and changes how the men at arms and other basic Bretonnian units play in the campaign.

Could you buff the units more? They are underpowered against other unit mods such as the "Ultimate Chaos" and "Glory mods" with them losing every time with the other end elite game unit.
Probably buff their health above 8000 as their low numbers makes them lose against other units.

Feels like they're not elite enough. or if possible, could you make another mod with all the benifits I mentioned above? hopefully you take this into consideration! thanks in advance :)
