Vanilla except the free DLC, this has a regular tick from game launch where the cursor and everything else stops working for 1.5-2s every 5-6 seconds. Even making a new game was unplayable.

@SENSENEL : That's also because of origin-civics... some of them will spawn additional empires.

Taihou, less AI empires, less habitable worlds, no guaranteed habitable worlds, and mods disabling features such as habitats are the best way to increase performance. I also went for the 7800x3D, which has better gaming performance especially for paradox games.

nevermind, got it to work. Just had to close out then reopen the launcher after resubbing.

What's the file location for this mod? I had moved the game over to my external hard drive, but this mod told me it didn't exist on disk. So I unsubscribed then resubbed but all that did was show one of my other mods that is deprecated when it asked to load the mod into the playset. So I just want to see if the file is downloaded or not. Don't know how to fix this issue tho.

I'm having a LOT of toxoid species spawn on galaxy generation (10K & 15K size). Almost every civ or pre-ftl I encounter is a Toxoid.

Is there something that gives the toxoids priority or something? Or is this just me?

I'm pretty sure that's because there are numerous types of events that can happen, even with AI, that trigger the spawn of new empires. Like if there's an uprising or a pre-FTL makes it to space. You likely end up seeing so many because the large galaxy size means a lot more can happen that can create these new empires before you map out the entirety of the galaxy.

Has anyone else experienced the maximum number of AI empires being ignored, so it seems like it's always trying to fill the galaxy with 20+ AIs even though far fewer were specified?

Question on performance. I have a new system (7950x, 4080, 32GB DDR5) with mods (most important are real space and amazing space battles).

Galaxy: 2500 stars and 38 original AI (I stupidly forgot to disable xenocompatibility)
I am in year 2400 and FPS is becoming a severe issue. Disabling mods I can without save game breaking isn't changing the result. FPS is acceptable (~30-60) at galaxy view with definite stuttering (FPS drops below 20) scrolling around. Average system FPS is also lower than I would like (40-70), but acceptable. However, any system with a lot of fleets (~20 fleets avg 150 fleet points) is tanking FPS to 5-20.

Any thoughts or suggestions on which settings to tweak is appreciated.

Mod actually seems to be working just fine, though you won't get stars in the core of Elliptical shaped galaxies. Not sure if Spirals give core stars or not.

Anyone know any good alternatives to this mod that's being maintained? I suppose I can live without larger galaxy sizes but after playing for so long with stars in the core, I can't go back lol

I'm not sure if there is a fix to this, but when using this mod I can't set crisis multiplier above 5x. Very well could be a simple fix, or an issue with 3.6, but that remains to be seen.

If you open the mod files, the 1500.txt file is missing an ending bracket so if you pick the 1500 star universe, it might have a problem.

So far it works for me on 3.5.x

This Mod is still working with 3.4.3, i can generate a 5k Stars Map in about 20-25min. Doesnt crash the game.

Quick question: you've written that mod introduces smaller core, but I've started my game and I still have NO core (stars are even at the very middle of galaxy's core. Any idea what's the problem?

My computer can't generate anything past 2500 stars within a reasonable time. Can't even play 2500 past midgame because the lag is so bad. My cpu keeps maxing out. I have a i7-9700k 8 core cpu. I thought maybe it wasn't using enough ram-it isn't using all of it-but I don't know if its possible to make it use more.

The galactic core is now permanently greyed out as if it hasn't been discovered yet. Can still see star names etc but no borders just grey. Have to guess who is in it.

This still works just fine though you'll need to edit the starting scenario map size file if you want the X25 crisis option.
