Also @Yakuza Man this mod is old and broken, but if you can get into starbound's files you'll see that in the vehicles folder chucklefish almost added in their own dropship aircraft. Just copy that, rename the files and edit them however you please, and add a controller. I'm sure there are modding groups out there that will be glad to walk you through. Maybe I should make a tutorial myself tho...
Ye
is it with pete??????
?
AT PENGUIN PETE'S SHOP IN THE OUTPOST.
It really is amazing how stupidly easy to mod starbound is. Really all it takes is for someone who has patience and a couple of hours to begin producing content. Anyways yeah I'll get to WarWolf and see if he can get the coding changed up abit which'll allow the ut47 to work with this mod. The reason why it is incompatible is literally because the in-code name is the same: "shuttle".
So there's something really small that can cause crashes.
That's because this addon is an almost exact "copy" of the ut47 mod. This mod simply has changed stats. I mean no offense to WarWolf ( both of us work on eachothers mods) but it really isn't that impressive when you you realise how modding really is. Seems impressive to those that have never experienced it.
Gonna go ask and see if I can get contributor stat to manage the description and stuff
and WarWolf Woo (Mod partner)
Adding customisable planes will take advanced lua and json coding combined with tedious spritework and general coding. You can't simply "just change" many parts of the code which already rely on many other seperate code files. This means in order to create a modular plane system will require extensive knowledge of advanced lua in order for the actual json vehicle file to act like a plane combined with lua codes to act out the modules for parts. Then the parts would have to be made with varying offsets to fit with sprites and completely custom made code for stats (unlike mech stats).
All-in-all, modular plane systems are VERY unlikely without a completely custom lua base. Aka, very hard to code. This plane is also an almost unmodified version of the ut-47, with different projectiles, speed and sprite by GnioGnio. I partially work on this mod as a sort of "sidejob".
