I thought it was the old de_dust. My bad on that part. But bots are utterly stupid and the map requires a lot of work.

In hammer there is a texture called clip, put a slanted brush over the stairs with the clip texture on it and you will glide up the stairs instead of bunching up them. (how the official maps create stairs)
