Yeah, that sentence easily applies to the game as-a-whole in it's current state.

They added mimics, but outside of that its all in balance & game-mechanic limbo.

There's no such thing as too many E.L.S.A.vehicles!

Much like the Spearfish or the Robin , its pretty mutch the cheapest thing possible without sacrificing complete functionality.

Its just not that cheap because ion engines themselves are expensive, and the generators required to run them are much larger than most other craft.

Ah, makes sense. Ignore my previous comment, then xD

That is basically the point, the reason it is so cheap is because its not atmosphere rated.

The Bloodhound carries just enough to keep it from exploding spectacularly, but it's performace is severely limited at low altitude. It's purpose is space escort and pursuit only.

The retrofit of the E-4C Alicorn is going to be a full space-to-surface operator and should meet these expecations. It is a much larger craft so it has room for tertiary systems.

Excellent in theory, but has a terrible time targetting anything below it, and is absolutely useless against surface targets. I would suggest either giving it longer attack runs, so the forward-facing lasers can fire downwards longer, or ventral lasers that can fire downwards

Now a space-borne battleship would be a beautiful idea. Think you could do that?
