Bug v,caused by FactionTraits[MoreTraits].xml
inside: Family="FactionTraitFamilyStartModifiers"
change it to:
Family="FactionTraitFamilyHeroes"
so family tag is changed after many updates.

Population Traits and hero gov traits is no longer working. This mod has a few out of date traits however those that are built upon base game are working.

i play with 1.5.11 S5 gold public and i have been getting some errors as well like some of my custom heroes wont show up, and the standard ones i have for that faction wont show either, its like it blocks them from me when i play a custom faction.

Anyone else get a strange after battle report?
"Your opponent has retreated"
Then on the portrait of the enemy ship has the destroyed sign over it.
bring up it's tool tip and it says it's destroyed with it's HP remaining?
Then in red it says. "The enemy fleet failed to retreat and was destroyed"

And the Fleet is actually gone... It doesn't exist anymore. I didn't get any resources from it nor experience.

For me, the hero adding traits have a major bug to them: Whenever i pick at least one of them, any building i could unlock over the game that woul yield Influence, just looses all its abilities. None of them will generate influence if i choose a hero-adding trait.

Im playing with the first two expansions only (dont own the last two)

Is there a way to make additions to this? I made some traits not included in any mod, and ffigured it would make a nice addition to this. Namely, variations of biophobic and make trade not war

This mod seems to be conflicting with the Penumbra update. I have disabled all my mods and are enabling them one at a time to test which will work. This is one that isn't currently working.

This mod is an addition not an override in case you are worried about confliction. You should find the mod in your workshop folder to see all the files. Alternatively this mod is also on moddb, if it is easier for you this way.

If you use other mods they may cause this problem. This is still an addon mod and does not overwrite anything, so the only thing I can think of is a typo somewhere. If you could point out which hero do you think is causing this issue I can look into it. I will look into this matter as soon as I have time for it. I have been sitting on an update for a while with some new stuff, I will fix this bug if it turns out to be one.

Last comment on this, sorry. The specific error I'm seeing is this:

Could not find GuiFactionTrait named 'FactionTraitExtraHero'

Then it says the reference is not set to an instance of the object. So maybe it's one of the specific Extra Hero traits? I have no clue. Either way, it looks like it sees the command created by the trait but has no definition for it, at least in my uninformed and very basic interpretation. Hope this helps.

I do have all the DLCs and a fully patched game. Thank you for your time in creating this mod, I will update if I notice anything else related to this issue. Hopefully this isn't too serious, but if it is, I hope this information can help iron it out.

Firstly I want to say that I enjoyed the extra dimension your mod has added to the game. Most of the traits complement the existing ones perfectly, especially with an unlimited traits mod.

I do seem to be having one problem though. Whenever I play with a custom race as an AI faction, I get a game freeze on the diplomacy screen. After doing some digging in the crash dumps, I've found that it seems to be tied to the "Extra Hero" trait for custom AI factions. The game plays perfectly until one of the custom factions enters into the diplomacy screen, then the game stops responding to commands and refuses to either save, load, end turn, or quit. It continues to run, though without any functionality. I am unsure if this is due to the player faction having an extra hero trait or due to the AI having one, or if it is due to the prescence of any faction with the trait at all.

It works with Vaulters too. The current version have no compatibility issue that I know of.

Your mod is fully compatible with all races but the Vaulters,right? Or does picking the traits change more things behind the scenes than it appears?

I have uploaded to ModDB. It takes a couple of days to access it, but it will happen. I have made a small fix regarding Deadly Weapons trait that is also uploaded now on steam. I am still willing to do updates if bugs are found, so don't be shy. :)

If it wouldn't be too much of a bother could you upload this mod to ModDB also? For some reason endless space is pissy about loading mods from the workshop for me but it'll load "local" mods just fine. I have tried literally using the same mods from the workshop vs "local" mods obtained elseware and the steam mods just are janky but local ones always work for me.

Yes, that is because in the game there was a bug with that trait and that was the only way to select 3-4-5. Now it is fixed and I will fix this in an update. Thank you for pointing out that one.

One minor bug with the "Deadly Weapons 3 / 4 / 5" traits - they don't seem to require the prerequisite like your other 3/4/5 traits do - i think you've got the 'level =' wrong in factionTraits[MoreTraits] (Just looking at Optimal Defense as a comparison)

From personal experience they do fine, in fact my custom factions tend to wreck vanilla factions pretty badly on 'hard' difficulty. They are especially dangerous if they are focused around population growth.

Nevermind. İt works great now. İ re tested with all sndbox options added and some options added and it seemed that everything is working as intented, but i removed some other mods perhaps those was the issue.
From my tests i seemed that enire galaxy was linked as well, and no wormholes existed in games where trading companies were also locked. Something caused the game to delete all wormholes, they wouldnt show up even after you did the research, and at the same games trading companies would NOT trade.

My question is now, is this also compatable with in game AI? can i put custom factions to AI like really buffed ones and try to set quick paced games with massive fleets? İs the AI capable of handling custom sandbox-buffed factions?

I believe that the culprit is actually not this mod, but Overcolonisation Rebalance, which is no longer supported by its author. OR cannot be launched by itself becuase i get an error message, however for some reason it is still possible to use it with other mods, which causes some serious bugs. This mods seems to work fine, keep up the good work, it ads a lot to the game.

The mod does not effect anything about trading companies, just the traits. Could you be more specific about what traits are you using, or what other mods?

this mod causes a bug that your trading companies never start trading, they keep saying : no reuote avaliable, research wormholes.

To save time, go to the game directory, to Public then open the Registry.xml file and edit line 219.

<FactionTraitsMaxCount>8</FactionTraitsMaxCount>

Change '8' to whatever number you prefer though you could also just delete the line to make it unlimited, apparently. I just changed it to '999' to be safe.
