You must have all the required assets for it to work. Corris Railway Route with Narrow Gauge Pack along with West Highland Line Extension Route (Fort William - Mallaig) are essential and this route will not run without them.
If you already have these two routes and have restarted TS only to find that it will not run. Make sure your graphics settings are set to the highest within the game, otherwise some things will be missing.
If all the above fails, verify TS files for accuracy through the Steam interface.
The above being corrected should resolve any issues.

The station there the narrow gauge meets the standard reminds me of Crovan's Gate from Thomas.

Harry Playz . . . so there's your answer!!

I have done something in world editor and have managed to get some track loaded but some is still missing. I do have the Corris route but not the West Highland line.

Thank you. I have downloaded it and I have started playing it. Very good! But the track is missing for me and some buildings aren't there. I have reloaded the game and went on the workshop to fix this but it's not working. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.
Girmek  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 10:58am
Thanks Harry Playz
To download the route click on the 'Subscribe' button above. Go to the game and select 'Drive'. Open 'Workshop Content' and allow it to update any and all your downloads from workshop.
Then restart TrainSim and it will appear in your routes. Narrow gauge locos only.
Read the above description and ensure you have all the routes listed, as these will provide you with the necessary assets (items) to run the route.
Note: Go explore as there is a lot more to the map than first seen.
The black loco in the above pictures is not included, but can be added. Read through the User comments to find a link.

Looks amazing but how do you download it and play it on train Simulator?

Just keeps getting better. The level of detail is wonderful, with the little villages laid out well and the trees and foliage and suggestion or ground undulation very natural and realistic feeling. Clearly a labor of love. Thank you for it, Girmek. Have you considered making it standard gauge version oo? Or perhaps a wartime themed version? Regardless, one of my absolute favorite lines.

A beautiful route, you can tell a lot of work has gone into this, well done.
Highball Simulation 21 Feb, 2019 @ 1:23pm
Thanks. I recently found some.
Girmek  [author] 21 Feb, 2019 @ 2:53am
Sorry Railfan, I don't know of any rolling stock to go with it.
You could check out third party sites like UKTrainSim for additional NG rolling stock.
Highball Simulation 20 Feb, 2019 @ 2:36pm
Hi. I've got the German steam engine shown in the pictures, but no rolling stock to go with it. Do you know of any good stock?
Highball Simulation 20 Feb, 2019 @ 9:52am
Oh, OK. I just got distinct Corris vibes from it, that's all.
Girmek  [author] 20 Feb, 2019 @ 9:50am
Thanks Railfan.
This route is entirely fictional.
Highball Simulation 20 Feb, 2019 @ 8:16am
A truly fantastic route, which brings back happy memories of holidays in Snowdonia. Was this based on anything in particular?

Nontheless, a superb freeware route. Why can't Dovetail make anything this good?
danf8708 25 Dec, 2018 @ 3:42am
Girmek,
Thanks I'll try that
Girmek  [author] 24 Dec, 2018 @ 5:47am
lj.coke,
Thanks for your comments. I have not come across the issue you have mentioned.
I'm not sure what is causing it, but just make sure detail is set to maximum and whilst in the editor, ensure that the slide bar at the lower left hand of the screen is moved all the way to the right in order to show everything. Hope this helps.
danf8708 23 Dec, 2018 @ 11:15am
Hi Girmek,
I really love this route but i have noticed that some of the buildings disappear and then when i am in world editor and i hover over them and they appear. If i delete them and manually replace them they don't disappear anymore. Great route though!

Awesome map man shame about the scenarios being lost to the history books but just playing the route on free roam is so much fun. Thanks.

Sorry for not responding but it didn't tell me that you had messaged me

Ok great thanks

WP1996 ....
The black loco last picture is the 'RomanticRR Stainz 99 4605' which I have downloaded and used to measure height and width clearances for station platforms, bridges etc.
NOTE: This locomotive is NOT included with the map but can be downloaded from Rail-Sim.de.
Trainsim 22 Sep, 2018 @ 12:52pm
chrisnchelle what loco is it?
notorne 29 Aug, 2018 @ 2:58am
Don't worry i've found it.
notorne 29 Aug, 2018 @ 2:09am
What engine was used in the last screenshot and couyld you mabye link the site it was from so I can download it. Thank you, nice route brtw.
Girmek  [author] 24 Jun, 2018 @ 10:35am
That's good news DmitriSkif. Maybe you could publish the scenarios you have created in the future (when the route is completed)? Just mention me as the route author and you can take credit for making the scenarios.
DmitriSkif 22 Jun, 2018 @ 5:47am
Girmek, thanks! As I found, everything works fine through the Route editor. Even "retired assets" should work cause it's my business to use them or not there, not DTG's. The only dissapontment is to lose original scenarios, but I have no interest in them. I made my own.
Girmek  [author] 20 Jun, 2018 @ 1:09pm
When the route was started, the TS Academy and the Foliage pack were still current. Unfortunately, as any experienced route builder will confirm, it is not possible to know which routes and/or asset packs will be retired in the near future.
Having said that, I have successfully run other workshop routes which have fallen victim of retired assets (e.g.Phorum Peninsula DLC). The retired assets will not load and will be missing from the route, but I found that providing the main required DLC is installed, it is possible to run the routes even without the retired DLC.
DmitriSkif 20 Jun, 2018 @ 11:54am
Doesn't work cause TS - Academy and Foliage are now marked as Retired assets. :steamsad:
Girmek  [author] 16 Jun, 2018 @ 12:41pm
Thanks for the comments gertj3.
After a break to undertake other projects, I have now returned to this route in order to progress it further. Take the junction near Esterdale to explore the Peston Moors Light Railway. More scenarios will be added in due course.
gertj3 16 Jun, 2018 @ 2:47am
Very very well build and the most scenic route ever. This is the best NG route available but you do need all the DLC. I just love this route, awesome in one word and surelly the way a route should look like. Thoroughly enjoying this route and thanks to teh Author, you did a amazing task, wll detailed and I can see that this was no rush route building, this is the way route building should go. Thanks so much for sharing this route with us.
Girmek  [author] 25 Feb, 2018 @ 1:06pm
WP1996 I am unsure why you are unable to see the track if you have the correct DLC {which is
the Corris Railway Route (includes Narrow Gauge Pack) and the West Highland Line Extension Route (Fort William - Mallaig)}.
Not come across this issue before. I have downloaded to another machine from the Workshop for testing purposes but cannot replicate the problem.
Trainsim 25 Feb, 2018 @ 1:47am
i have the corris route but am unable to see the track why is this, what other routes do i need?
Girmek  [author] 7 Feb, 2018 @ 7:19am
Thank you Evenjam.

i love this line please dont stop adding to it!!!

Updated description (As workshop isn't allowing me to update official Title and Description)

This fictitious map incorporates two routes.

A) Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway
and
B) Peston Moors Light Railway

A) Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway. .....

This is an old mine railway now used for local passengers and as a tourist attraction. It also features branch lines for access to the disused mines at Brambledown, Gorse Mine and Thistle.

Connection between the two routes is just north of Esterdale Station.

B) Peston Moors Light Railway. .....

Built to serve a large quarry and transport stone. The stone then forwarded for onward transportation by standard gauge siding or barge at the town of Hartwell.

The line also serves several villages and hamlets across the moors. It also has a terminus at Peston.

Evenjam 5 Dec, 2017 @ 11:36am
thank you
Girmek  [author] 5 Dec, 2017 @ 11:34am
Thanks for the comment Evenjam.
There is still a lot of work needed on the second half of the project. The map is roughly divided into two sections ... The 'Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway' ... and the 'Peston Moors Light Railway' (name is provisional). The first is 85% complete but the second is only 5% complete. The connection between the two is at Esterdale Station.
Regular updates will see gradual completion of this project.
