You must have all the required assets for it to work. Corris Railway Route with Narrow Gauge Pack along with West Highland Line Extension Route (Fort William - Mallaig) are essential and this route will not run without them.
If you already have these two routes and have restarted TS only to find that it will not run. Make sure your graphics settings are set to the highest within the game, otherwise some things will be missing.
If all the above fails, verify TS files for accuracy through the Steam interface.
The above being corrected should resolve any issues.

To download the route click on the 'Subscribe' button above. Go to the game and select 'Drive'. Open 'Workshop Content' and allow it to update any and all your downloads from workshop.
Then restart TrainSim and it will appear in your routes. Narrow gauge locos only.
Read the above description and ensure you have all the routes listed, as these will provide you with the necessary assets (items) to run the route.
Note: Go explore as there is a lot more to the map than first seen.
The black loco in the above pictures is not included, but can be added. Read through the User comments to find a link.
You could check out third party sites like UKTrainSim for additional NG rolling stock.
This route is entirely fictional.
Nontheless, a superb freeware route. Why can't Dovetail make anything this good?
Thanks I'll try that
Thanks for your comments. I have not come across the issue you have mentioned.
I'm not sure what is causing it, but just make sure detail is set to maximum and whilst in the editor, ensure that the slide bar at the lower left hand of the screen is moved all the way to the right in order to show everything. Hope this helps.
I really love this route but i have noticed that some of the buildings disappear and then when i am in world editor and i hover over them and they appear. If i delete them and manually replace them they don't disappear anymore. Great route though!
Sorry for not responding but it didn't tell me that you had messaged me
The black loco last picture is the 'RomanticRR Stainz 99 4605' which I have downloaded and used to measure height and width clearances for station platforms, bridges etc.
NOTE: This locomotive is NOT included with the map but can be downloaded from Rail-Sim.de.
Having said that, I have successfully run other workshop routes which have fallen victim of retired assets (e.g.Phorum Peninsula DLC). The retired assets will not load and will be missing from the route, but I found that providing the main required DLC is installed, it is possible to run the routes even without the retired DLC.
After a break to undertake other projects, I have now returned to this route in order to progress it further. Take the junction near Esterdale to explore the Peston Moors Light Railway. More scenarios will be added in due course.
the Corris Railway Route (includes Narrow Gauge Pack) and the West Highland Line Extension Route (Fort William - Mallaig)}.
Not come across this issue before. I have downloaded to another machine from the Workshop for testing purposes but cannot replicate the problem.
This fictitious map incorporates two routes.
A) Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway
and
B) Peston Moors Light Railway
A) Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway. .....
This is an old mine railway now used for local passengers and as a tourist attraction. It also features branch lines for access to the disused mines at Brambledown, Gorse Mine and Thistle.
Connection between the two routes is just north of Esterdale Station.
B) Peston Moors Light Railway. .....
Built to serve a large quarry and transport stone. The stone then forwarded for onward transportation by standard gauge siding or barge at the town of Hartwell.
The line also serves several villages and hamlets across the moors. It also has a terminus at Peston.
There is still a lot of work needed on the second half of the project. The map is roughly divided into two sections ... The 'Esterdale Narrow Gauge Railway' ... and the 'Peston Moors Light Railway' (name is provisional). The first is 85% complete but the second is only 5% complete. The connection between the two is at Esterdale Station.
Regular updates will see gradual completion of this project.
