" I mean lore-wise the crystals change to a red color because the force user's anger and hatred "bleeds" through crystal."
That's a Disney thing... KOTOR and KOTOR2 where made long before their acquisition and thus this 'lore addition'.
Knightmage Bael 26. feb. 2022 kl. 9:21
I understand that.

You get red crystals from the dark jedi that attack you on every planet in that game and that also remained a point of confusion for me. You could say its red because that's a dark side action, but you don't get points from it.
Hassat Hunter  [ophavsmand] 26. feb. 2022 kl. 7:16
It's pretty much only red since that's how KOTOR1 did it, keeping consistent with the cave mechanics in that game.

This is a nice idea, but I am overflowing with red crystals without this mod. I would appreciate it if you added other crystals to the drop list for these kinrath eggs.

Not sure what the lore suggestion is on only having red crystals drop. I mean lore-wise the crystals change to a red color because the force user's anger and hatred "bleeds" through crystal. Red crystals are largely unnatural, from what I understand.

armbarchris 21. apr. 2018 kl. 7:08
Ah. Ok, thanks.
Hassat Hunter  [ophavsmand] 21. apr. 2018 kl. 0:32
Only red
armbarchris 20. apr. 2018 kl. 22:55
I'm confused. Is this ONLY red crystals, or any color INCLUDING red crystals?

Here, here Yondoth.

The colour is red because it was forced to bleed, I think. Red isn't a natural colour, I believe. I only count stuff as canaon before Disney, no exceptions.

It could also be possible that Kinrath eat crystals or something, and that the crystal is fed off of by the Kinrath when in the egg. The crystal itself is impure or something, and is red as a result.

It's a long shot, for sure, but Disney is never going to explore it, and we know incredibly little about Kinrath biology.

The point of the red crystals is the same as it was in the first game, where you also only got red crystals for killing the eggs. You murdered creatures inside of eggs, seems kind of fitting that that's how you acquire the most common sith gem, no? If you want some lore for it, chances are that the crystals are red because the act of violence corrupted them or something.
Hassat Hunter  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2018 kl. 4:22
KOTOR1 only dropped Red Crystals, hence only red crystals here.
2BDetermined 1. feb. 2018 kl. 4:20
can you update this to drop crystals of all colours like KOTOR 1 pls
Hassat Hunter  [ophavsmand] 25. sep. 2017 kl. 15:07
I could, but the intention was just to make them drop stuff as they did in the first game, like the first game.
Dasharr 25. sep. 2017 kl. 14:52
But this is KOTOR2. IMO it'd be cool to change things up a bit. Great mod regardless.
Hassat Hunter  [ophavsmand] 25. sep. 2017 kl. 14:51
KOTOR1
Dasharr 25. sep. 2017 kl. 14:46
Any reason why only red crystals?
2BDetermined 14. sep. 2017 kl. 0:37
Why would i want the most common crystal?
Tyzin the Hutt 6. sep. 2017 kl. 1:20
Why only read crystals?
That one Guy 27. juli 2017 kl. 14:41
Now, this is brilliant. I mean, I DEFINITELY want to have 20 red crystals again, oh boy, I sure am glad!

agreed with MacNcheazy

Thank you for this mod! It was a strange decision on Obsidian's part not to include this in their final game :steamhappy:
