Frankly, your class mod was the favourite one for me to play in LW2. Would love the possibilty of using it in LWoTC ^^
They're both special forces inspired and may overlap in some functions, namely the Operators right hand stealth skill branch though this still has different perks. Both the left and centre perk choices are very different.
Operate that body, operate on me
Operate that body, take control of me
I know there's a mod somewhere laying around that takes the triple-perk tree functionality from the LW mods and lets you use it in Vanilla, in fact LWPP may even do that natively.
I am working on a class pack for the war of the chosen release as well which will include many of the abilities used by this class.
Just wondering if I can have this in my game without LW2, and all its skills would still work.
I like your perk ideas though and agree that synergy with bounding fire would work well here so I will give it some thought, thank you. I may also make the shotgun available to the Operator.
Another suggestion is a perk that automatically triggers some form of reaction fire if Bounding Fire was triggered. This and the above suggestion might pair well with the Enemy Down perk to give incentive to consistently use Bounding Fire.
The stealth tree is also quite lackluster as compared to a stealth Shinobi.
The tree I find with greatest potential is the middle tree that can push enemy lines well. The issue is that it loses out to a shooty DPS Ranger. I find that the issue is with the Bounding Fire mechanic. It doesn't synergize particularly well. Perhaps you could capitalize more on this to make it more unique.
And talking from exp
@Spacemann Whiff - The above explains some of the reasons I went with a knife as secondary weapon, it's also the least specialised secondary weapon for a class I wanted to be quite versatile. I did originally have Combatives and another custom knife ability in the central branch of perks but dropped them in favour of the sort of rifleman path that's in there now. What would you like to see in terms of knife perks?
AWC config was actually on my do list and I seem to have skipped it entirely! So yes you are right definitely some work to do there, thanks for the pointers which will help me get started. Glad you are enjoying the class and anymore feedback is welcome.
There are a few options here I would suggest, but the easy fix is to slot in Lightning Reflexes there instead... It fits thematically, is a good power match for the other abiliy choices at that tier, synergies with Bounding Fire, and would be useful on both breacher and hybrid builds.
Regardless, I'm really enjoying this class, thank you!
It does probably need some AWC configs though... I'm guessing sentry just gives the unit Cool Under Pressure and Covering Fire as additional abilities. If so, the AWC doesn't see that and will put them in the pool for this soldier. You'd have to manually restrict them to prevent doubling up on perks. Also, any abilities that give extra actions that haven't been setup to work with Breach and Clear should be restricted (like possibly Close Encounters, etc).
