Thank you very much sir. I appreciate it!
Billy Boola  [author] 9 May, 2020 @ 2:35pm
Kane, and anyone else interested, there is a link at the bottom of the description to the source files for this mod. There is no copyright, I release it as public domain. Have fun.
Billy Boola  [author] 9 May, 2020 @ 1:06pm
Hi Kane, yes I do still have the code around.
Kane 8 May, 2020 @ 8:40am
Im interested in learning more about this. Is the code available to play around with? TY
Billy Boola  [author] 7 Apr, 2019 @ 10:06am
All good, have fun with it :steamhappy:
nevcairiel 7 Apr, 2019 @ 1:38am
Thanks for the offer, but I already figured it out from scratch, that info was surprisingly easy to extract. :)
Billy Boola  [author] 6 Apr, 2019 @ 5:46pm
make sure you respond here first, I generally ignore friend requests
Billy Boola  [author] 6 Apr, 2019 @ 5:46pm
Hit me up with a friend request if you do and I'll give you the code for this mod
nevcairiel 6 Apr, 2019 @ 12:18am
I haven't actually tried yet, since I'm primarily interested in debugging spawners in more details then just getting a list of them, but the core game mechanics haven't changed, so the chances are good.

On the other hand, I've been looking for an excuse to get my hands dirty on writing a mod, so maybe I'll just try to figure this out on my own in the Dev Kit. :)
Billy Boola  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 6:51pm
It should be possible, Does this mod still work? I haven't run a server for a long time
nevcairiel 5 Apr, 2019 @ 4:09pm
Would it be possible to output the information of those spawners, ie. which dino classes they spawn, and stuff like that? I don't know if that information is retrievable.
Billy Boola  [author] 31 Jul, 2018 @ 10:10pm
Do you have server loging turned on with the -servergamelog option? By default mods wont write to the server logs
Scuzzy Kidd 31 Jul, 2018 @ 9:43pm
i can't seem to get this to work.
Stop Server, Install Mod, Start Server, Log in, Wait 5 min, Trained a level, opened up engram list, logged out. stopped the server. no log is generated... set the mod in first position, shows as running when i hit escape. i'm at a loss. do i need to wait longer?
SMooreAce 10 Jun, 2018 @ 7:14am
Ive tried it with your mod being 3rd in the list... the first 2 are complete dino replacement mods, and last.
Billy Boola  [author] 9 Jun, 2018 @ 8:34pm
I will try it myself tonight when I get home
SMooreAce 9 Jun, 2018 @ 1:13pm
Nothing at all. Server sat empty for hours. Then I sat in it for about 45 minutes. No info at all in the log.
Billy Boola  [author] 9 Jun, 2018 @ 12:54pm
What does it do? Anything at all?
SMooreAce 9 Jun, 2018 @ 7:07am
For some reason I cant get this to output its goodness on The Island. Or at least on the one Im testing it on. Worked perfectly on Crystal Isles and Skies of Nazca, WTH!?!
SMooreAce 4 Jun, 2018 @ 3:32am
I get that, but that area has a center. And thats how they are placed.

I have two main goals in using the data from your mod...
1. Adding Nameless to Crystal Isles and Ragnarok, and
2. Rebuild a couple of spawners on Rag, Crystal Isles, and Skies of Nazca that are over producing a few dinos.

FI.. there is, what looks like, one spawner on Skies in the NE corner that is pushing out 100% of the maps total eels. And its doing it in STUPID numbers! Or there is a spawner on Vikin Bay that, under Ark Eternal, spawning thousands of Tuso, IN THE BAY! The water is too shallow there! They should never spawn there in any situation. So they form a ball. Literally 2500 tuso that can be killed with one giga chomp! Sure, I can turn down tuso so much that the ball is somewhast managable at 50 or so. (prevents client lag with so many animals) but the rest of the map is sparse!
Billy Boola  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 10:00pm
You might be misunderstanding spawners in ARK. The dont have a location, instead they have an area. And the entire map is usually covered in them forming a grid
SMooreAce 3 Jun, 2018 @ 7:52pm
The biggest thing is GPS coords for each spawner on each map. Having their names is great! But the only way to get a general location is to creat spawn replacement code for each one, then track where that specific dino spawned, record coords.. Very time intensive! If people would share what they find, or the mod could get those coords, it would save almost infinite time!
Billy Boola  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 7:44pm
What information are you after?
SMooreAce 3 Jun, 2018 @ 4:27pm
Ah... that makes sense! Probably not, and it works fine now.

Im a bit suprised this hasnt drawn more attention! Great data to be had from this. Its just too bad there is so much work to be done to identify actual locations.
Billy Boola  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 4:10pm
Re cooking
SMooreAce 3 Jun, 2018 @ 3:52pm
Recoiling?
Billy Boola  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 3:42pm
I don't think recoiling will change anything as it gets its data from the maps at runtime
SMooreAce 3 Jun, 2018 @ 11:47am
I guess noone has used this enough to create a real database of usable info yet? It would be great if anyone that has used this and broken down any particular map would share their info. It wouldnt take any time at all to get a collection of all spawniners, their locations and a map to tie them to!
Im starting work on Crystal Isles now, and then will be doing Skies of Nazca
SMooreAce 3 Jun, 2018 @ 11:42am
The mod works fine. It may help with some stability to re-cook with the current dev kit. but it works perfectly right now.
Billy Boola  [author] 12 Feb, 2018 @ 11:51am
Might be something has changed in a recent ark update. I'll take a look
Corran 12 Feb, 2018 @ 5:28am
Getting a hard crash whenever I try to implement this mod. The server boots up fine, but whenever I try to connect, it gets to the Ragnarok_Terminals parameter of the progress bar, and crashes every single time. The crashes tend to be silent, with no visible error message.

When I shut down the server, nothing is ever written to log file. I'm assuming this is because I didn't fully load in?
Avata 8 Jan, 2018 @ 12:57am
this mod need share !!! Lots of sharing !!! my friends in steam talk and dont find with only find because i give the link. I always see many people often looking for how to find the custom spwans on the map. and ask the devs on the map for with and many times the devs responds
( dont have the time for share LOL ) so many people give up.

This mods is help this people : ) ( and they are not few )

my way of finding the spawns was always going to see the folders and have lots of work this will help me thank you very much :)

maybe is more easy to find the mod IF you add in end off name ( find the custom spawners ) or [ find the custom spawn entries ] only suggestion

tks for the mod : ) good work
Billy Boola  [author] 29 Sep, 2017 @ 3:58pm
All good, cheers
NothingSuspect 29 Sep, 2017 @ 3:44pm
You definitely fixed it perfectly, thank you so much!!!
NothingSuspect 29 Sep, 2017 @ 2:06pm
I will check it in just a moment loading up to test some changes i made ill run the mod right after and update you!
Billy Boola  [author] 29 Sep, 2017 @ 12:17pm
Sanguine - Take a look at the updated version please and let me know if tha thas fixed ti for you.
NothingSuspect 29 Sep, 2017 @ 1:31am
it was on the island, Its possible it was an issue on my end because i run 28 mods on that server, the main one i was looking into was getting spawners for Extinction core i probably should have tried to run it with just your mod and that mod. I will try again in a while and let you know. Thanks for the response, and sorry for my late response i work overnights and i kinda fell off in the middle of the day
Billy Boola  [author] 28 Sep, 2017 @ 10:55am
Sanguine - I have not tried it in a while. Can you tell me what map it was and I will take a look and fix it tonight
NothingSuspect 28 Sep, 2017 @ 7:54am
Hey i was wondering if this still works, i have extinction core and im trying to find the spawner names for the spawn points on the island. However server just crashes right after start with this mod loaded. So far this mod is the only thing i have seen that could possibly help me, shy of downloading ark devkit myself and looking up all his spawners. Could you point me in the right direction?
-AKEVA-BANSHEE- 23 Jul, 2017 @ 1:57pm
Ah okay thanks :)
Billy Boola  [author] 23 Jul, 2017 @ 11:20am
It will help you find the class namea
-AKEVA-BANSHEE- 23 Jul, 2017 @ 10:17am
Would this be used to show dino spawn entries and then edit them to a server? For exaple adding griffins to the argent spawns in the floating mountain center.
Billy Boola  [author] 24 Jun, 2017 @ 1:03am
It is highly unlikely that it would work on single player, it is a server side tool. Duplicate your server in a test environment.
Monopoly 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:57am
I have, doesn't seem to as far as I can tell, but as I have yet to successfully attempt the mod, idk if I missed the file or not.
Billy Boola  [author] 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:52am
I have not tried, have you?
Monopoly 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:50am
I've asked this in the past before you re-uploaded. Can this work with singleplayer? It's rather difficult to use this on my server when people are constantly on it.
Doublee (EE) 17 Jun, 2017 @ 6:10pm
Now this is something I wish I had years ago! This is pure awesome!
