Doesn`t seem to work :(
Prokilller8888 11 iun. 2023 la 8:29
Does it still work?
Tommy Cipote 15 apr. 2023 la 16:00
we still need this for RW2? Works with latest update?
trainlover731855 21 mart. 2023 la 17:12
Is this replaceble for Prop Anarchy?
StayHungryStayFoolish 15 sept. 2022 la 14:26

PropRotating Params is fully compatible with Plazas & Promenades DLC.

Please follow the Plazas & Promenades DLC Compatible modlist.
StayHungryStayFoolish 15 sept. 2022 la 14:18
I think this mod is compatible with Plazas & Promenades DLC.
Enma 25 ian. 2022 la 9:22
@Future -- depends. As the description explains, old props that haven't been updated to the new method will still need it.
Future 4 ian. 2022 la 10:18
is this mod still needed?

Finally I have a Lighthouse Beacon that works
macluk 3 apr. 2021 la 11:45
Ok give me 30 minutes. I'm loading game now trying it without these 2 mods I've mentioned.
LemonsterOG 3 apr. 2021 la 11:40
@macluk -- This mod works.

Please send me your mod list in our chat session.
macluk 3 apr. 2021 la 11:30
is it here that i can drop my output log? I have "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and output log indicates this mod... along with 2 others.

Could this be used to create a working (animated) level railroad crossing barrier?
I would really like one and I can't find any on the workshop.

如何使用还是搞不懂

Ah, that ties in with another issue I'm having - solar panels still generating power a night due to light intensity. Thanks, I think I can track down problem now!
Ronyx69  [autor] 30 iun. 2018 la 9:04
@aubergine18 No idea, prob real time messing with the time in weird ways. Light effects on/off is based on some weird time-related "light intensity" value, I don't fully understand it.
leftbehind 30 iun. 2018 la 9:02
So if the lighthouse is still on in the day, is the issue in the config of the lighthouse asset, or is RealTime mod not updating game properties (causing knock-on effect with the PropRotating shader, etc)?
Ronyx69  [autor] 30 iun. 2018 la 7:51
@aubergine18 This mod doesn't really do anything with time itself, it only allows setting custom parameters for the PropRotating shader, which is already in the game. Also the light is completely unrelated to this mod, that would be custom light effects, but that also doesn't deal with time in any custom way. If the game time is affected, then those vanilla properties would be afftected as well I guess, not specific to those mods.
leftbehind 30 iun. 2018 la 6:59
Would this mod (or the AnimUV mod) be affected by the recently released RealTime mod?

I'm using Skerryvore lighthouse and it's light is still on during day time and still rotating. As RealTime mod changes way time works, I was wondering if there were some issues/conflicts?

Thanks for the info.. will try Tim The Terrible
Ronyx69  [autor] 20 nov. 2017 la 22:09
@renewcom It uses the traffic light shader. Here are the scripts to change the shader vectors responsible for the pivot and the axis: https://gist.github.com/ronyx69/62212c2b5bdfa6142b25a1a69dec9aa3 Haven't tested much or even if asset editor saves it correctly, but you can test ingame as well. Contact Tim The Terrible as this script was made for his experiments.

Sorry if this is a little off subject.
I am looking for the shader that controls level crossing prop (up / down) movement. I created a new prop, importing it using the existing prop as a template. The issue I have is the barrier now rotates clockwise 45 degrees instead of lowering & then counter clockwise 45 degrees instead of raising. The wrong axis is being used, looking to change this setting. Changing the vertex colour only reduces the amount of rotation. Any help would be much appreciated.
Polarstorm 8 sept. 2017 la 1:12
Ok, it seems that the problem is that the "rotation per minute" is an integer, so (as example) a rotation set to 1.2 leeds to an reset every 7 days. Is there a way around this?
Ronyx69  [autor] 8 sept. 2017 la 0:41
@Polarstorm That's really weird, no idea.
Polarstorm 8 sept. 2017 la 0:37
I ran into a big problem with something i'am working on. It seems that the rotation restarts it's cycle every 7 days. I need a constant rotation all the time without restarting, is this possible, and if so, how? Searched through the toolcontroller things and can't find anything that looks like it is controlling the reset.
Polarstorm 22 aug. 2017 la 7:17
hmm sadly not a very practical solution. anyway, thx4info
Ronyx69  [autor] 22 aug. 2017 la 6:00
@Polarstorm You'll need 2 props then.
Polarstorm 22 aug. 2017 la 5:49
Hey ronyx, is there a way to get two (or more) things rotate in different speed or directions with this? Maybe with different vertex colors? Talking about props here.
KOENKIE9-5 24 iul. 2017 la 1:52
what are the controlls?
keg 27 iun. 2017 la 14:02
how the hell fuck shit this work how p cool tho
PKMN Trainer Orange 26 iun. 2017 la 11:02
@ Ronyx69

No mod just followed a tutorial on uv scrolling by Jerenable.

I just have limited control on the speed of the scrolling.

I was trying to find a way to slow it down
Ronyx69  [autor] 26 iun. 2017 la 10:52
@PKMN Trainer Orange Did you use my animuv params script for that? If so you should set animuv params as a required mod. This doesn't do anything with the lights, a different mod for custom light effects, including rotating lights will be coming soon.
PKMN Trainer Orange 26 iun. 2017 la 10:45
@ Ronyx69

Thanks again i got the UV sctolling to work.

I saw you said this didn't work with lights, what if a attached a light to a prop, would the light spin
Ronyx69  [autor] 26 iun. 2017 la 10:39
@PKMN Trainer Orange Yeah, I have a different mod for uv scrolling.
PKMN Trainer Orange 26 iun. 2017 la 10:30
@Ronyx69

Thanks i was just curious the video was tough to follow because i was paying attention to work :).

Thanks.

Also, if I'm not mistaken this is making the actual prop rotate, not just UV scrolling. Is my understanding correct?
Ronyx69  [autor] 26 iun. 2017 la 10:26
@PKMN Trainer Orange You just run the script with modtools and see the results in realtime. You can see everything in the video...
PKMN Trainer Orange 26 iun. 2017 la 10:00
I watched the video and I'm still confused on how this mod works.

Do i need to paste the parameters like you did?
220hertz 26 iun. 2017 la 8:52
Yeah, the prop lighting script you've got does the trick. I'll start building the lighthouse and wait for you to release it properly. This is cool.
Ronyx69  [autor] 26 iun. 2017 la 3:59
@Super_J No you can't control the speed in that way. Besides, the wind turbine script would be better for such a large structure.
Super_J 26 iun. 2017 la 3:44
Just asking (know nothing) :Will this mod enable a possiblility of changing speed? For example, I have a Ferris wheel. Can the wheel start turning, holding speed and stop?
Ronyx69  [autor] 26 iun. 2017 la 0:02
@220hertz @Sanadar For a wind mill or any kind of large structure, the wind turbine parameters script might be a better fit, it's more limited, and it doesn't require a mod: https://gist.github.com/ronyx69/18486e905c4ddf50ce14cafbd9c55ba0

A new custom light effects mod by me and vasimr22 will likely be released on friday. The initial experimentation with lights was done because somebody wanted a rotating light for a lighthouse. That will be possible soon. More info on that here: http://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/71388--/?do=findComment&comment=1670569
220hertz 25 iun. 2017 la 23:08
I was actually thinking lighthouse, but yeah.
220hertz 25 iun. 2017 la 19:25
I'm impressed. Bit of a workaround storing values in the mesh name, but whatever - it works. I just need to think of something that rotates that would be useful. Nice work as usual.
Ronyx69  [autor] 24 iun. 2017 la 5:16
@AmiPolizeiFunk Don't have any but it's pretty self explanatory. Vertex paint the rotating part black and run the script, experiment with the values and see it in the asset editor in realtime.
AmiPolizeiFunk 24 iun. 2017 la 5:12
some example assets?
