I will update it, but I need expandable fermenting updated first sorry, (it actually does most of the work opening up systems to be edited with just simple text, my edit is likely to not be much more than increasing a version number)

this may sound odd but... I prefer this mod over other options because it's more simplified and feels natural to the game than some of the other options. I'll see what I can do since I got a friend interested in playing the game that knows C# and right now he's looking at fixing mod manager since that's a big mod that has seemed to have been lost to the ether. I do get it when it comes to losing enthusiasm though, I have one mod I upkeep for don't starve together but I haven't had enough motivation to really add anything new to it.

I have sorta lost enthusiasim and am honestly surprised people still want to use this instead of other options. Try to see if it works without updating, otherwise I will need the required mod updated first sorry, but if you can get that sorted I will do it.

I'd been fixing this manually, but Steam validations tend to reset it, and occasionally even delete the whole def for planted grapes.

Hiddencow, I had the same issue, I did as the author said and activated "Expandable Fermenting and Processing" and it now works!

There has not been an update since i last updated it, so to debug it can you please 1st make sure the prerequisite is installed and loaded before this mod also you probably know this but the brewing tech is required. If that doesn't work try uninstalling all other mods to check for a conflict, if you still have a problem after that I will check it.

So, Tim_Minchin_on_medicine earlier in the thread has a fix that seems to work:

"In case you got XML visualSizeRange "0.3~1.00" blabla error after updating to 1.1 try to fix \RimWorld\Mods\955961752\Defs\ThingDefs_Plants\Plants_Cultivated_Farm.xml:
and replace
<visualSizeRange>
<min>0.3</min>
<max>1.05</max>
</visualSizeRange>
with this:
<visualSizeRange>0.3~1.05</visualSizeRange>"

Welp. while i still have some errors from uninstalled mods ... I could not see that error at all even when i reduced my mods to just core, royalty and ideology (only core SHOULD ne meeded), expandable fermenting and my mod. I will try reuploading maybe there are some differences in the version I am using, but i can't remember making any changes

I see the xml error on load as well, the text is:
"XML error: 0.3~1.00 doesn't correspond to any field in type FloatRange. Context: <visualSizeRange>0.3~1.00<min>0.3</min><max>1.05</max></visualSizeRange>"

Disabling all mods except this one and its dep still produces the error.

so Im playing a save with VGP and was wandering if you could make an addon to the VGP garden mod so the existing grapes in that mod can be used to make wine, I know that VGP has an official wine thing already added in an addon however I think I prefer this mod

Ok, sorry had some problems with the mod not working. Turns the part of Expandable Fermenting that allows custom tags had broken, so i removed them and things are fine.

Hello there kind modder. I was planning on using this on a future colony run, but 1.1 dropped. Would you consider an update to 1.1? It probably requires a bit of an update to your toolchain, as Unity and some bindings were updated and the mod you depend on still needs updating, but it should add the ability to support both 1.0 and 1.1 at the same time, if possible. If you need help, I'm happy to assist with any info I have.

I Do not have any intention to, nor see a need, as like other long grow time crops (corn and devilstrand), grapes cannot be planted in hydroponics anyway, it makes no sense to let them be used in a "better" hydroponics, sorry.

Thanks for the response! I fixed it by deconstructing my existing beer fermenting barrels and rebuilding them. Once I did that, they started producing beer again! It may not be something to do with your mod but for those (like me) who installed the expandable fermenting mod mid-game just so we could use this one, maybe mention that existing beer barrels may need to be rebuilt.

I do not directly interact with beer barrels, however the Expandable fermenting mod probably does, can you please try uninstalling my mod and seeing if the problem persists? If it does I will try to fix it. Otherwise I can let Eagle0600 know.

this mod is great, but i think there's an issue with beer now. my colonists have stopped loading wort into my beer barrels and have stopped retrieving beer from my existing barrels with fermented beer in them. i can't right click on any types of fermenting barrels to tell a pawn to interact/retrieve said beer. it's only happened since i installed this mod. do i have to build new barrels or something?

Just tested, They do not have a problem on my end, do you have the Expandable Fermenting and Processing mod enabled? This mod requires that one, and for the two Items you are having trouble with.
