I actually liked the new sounds because they sound more punchy except the pistol but i can't hear the new sounds on the official campaign, only in custom campaign

Yep, these don't work. It actually conflicts with all the other BtL4D weapons. A shame because the updated weapons are great, but their sound effects are very loud and kinda annoying.

Nevermind, figured it out. If you're having trouble, find the addon (964356670.vpk for me) and drag it up a folder from your workshop into your addons. This will give it priority over the downloaded mods here.
