In case anyone has a captain chair already present, you could get rid of it using this command in admin mode: /entityeval object.smash()

Make sure you aim your cursor at the chair before you enter it.

@T4LON that's because i did not edit the blockkey for any ships, meaning that when you upgrade, it checks the blockkey and replaces the chair with the default one. the new one might drop on the floor, or might disappear altogether. i'm not sure how to fix this without editing the blockkey or making this chair replace the default one in the files, both of which i tried to do but editing the blockkey made the shipworld corrupt, not sure what i did wrong, and making a default chair retexture didnt work for me because i think, maybe, starbound loaded this mod forst and i dont know how to deliberately set the load order.

By 'vanishes', I mean it reverts back to the default one.

Apparently, the chair vanishes if you upgrade your ship.

@BFG5000 that would be because avali logistics frigats of any color dont use the default avali captains chair. this mod only replaces that one chair, so if the ship uses a different chair, you'll get a different chair. you can still spawn this one in though if you want to use it.

sorry for the late reply. i dont actually know how to make it compatible with FU BYOS, but i do know from personal experience that you can spawn it in and it will work. the instructions to spawn it in are in one of my other comments below.

Is it possible for a version of this that supports FU BYOS? I just started a save with BYOS mode on, but I don't see the type of chair from the thumbnail.

@Xeron is it like, invisible? or just no chair at all? or you have a chair but the wrong one? if it's invisible, i'd try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, and if that doesnt work i honestly have no idea what to do next. if you have a total lack of chairs of any kind, you can spawn one in by switching to admin mode (type "/admin" and press enter) and then typing "/spawnitem avalicaptainscchairalt" without quotes. if you have the wrong chair, then that could mean either you're using the wrong race, or the wrong ship, or that the mod didnt install correctly, or that you installed it and havent upgraded your ship since then. so if you're not an avali, or you're using a custom ship with a differen blockkey.config, spawn one. if you havent upgraded your ship recently, it should appear the next time you do. if it doesnt, move everything you want to keep off of your ship and respawn the ship.

Yeah, something definetly went wrong: new char - same problem.

For some time it behaved normally, but now its suddenly facing the wrong direction and I didn't upgrade my ship lately (Lv5).

Hey I found a way how to fix if it despawns. if you have the invetnroy item spawner addon you can spawn a captions chair of another races and put it in its place and it works!

this thing is kinda buggy, and i cant really do anything about it until october, so you have been warned. download at your own risk.

the chair is facing the wrong way

Cerful when you download this mod, it may remove your chair entiearly. Make sure there is nothing near the cap chair when you download it. Now one of my characters is broken, I can't fly my ship anywhere because I don't even have the defult chair ether.

So. Please be cerful when you download this mod make sure there is nothing next to your cap chair.

@atomic warlord I know I'm late and you've probably figured this out by now, but the command is universal and will work on any race and character as long as you're in /admin mode.

I'm trying to figure out why it's crashing peeps. it might be because some of you may not have the avali mod installed. that's a requirement that i forgot to set as required. also i'm working on figuring out other reasons why it crashes, like when you sit down. and i'll try and fix the backwards thing.

Hey i'd like to report a bug. It's minor but it still bugs me a bit. Its when you have a level 1 ship the chair is facing the wrong way

@ Dark RaitH if i used the smash command for another race will that work EX: /entityhylot object. smash () will that smash the hylot captains chair be gone?
