Well can't remember what pet transformation items cause the problems. But for example some default pets in character select screen have a special behaviour compared to others. When you transform them they still acting like that in adition to the behaviour of the new form. Also for example if you use a transformation that has heal for example, when it transform back to your default pet it still has the heal. Some of the permanent ones are not really permanent ( not idea what caused this) and the pet goes back to normal after some time.

I'll try to check my t2 essentials' files back home and see what causes the conflict. Could you tell me what kind of bug it does or is it just missing pets?

Only problem I encounter seems to be weird/wrong behaviour of some pets but that is Essentials's fault only since I tested it a few times with only essentials running. There appear to be some conflicts between them like another guy reported on essentials's steam page.

I tried adding enchants to a collar and it seems just fine. So I guess the sockets work just fine, I do need to farm some chillhoof.

I think it is safe.

This mod modifies the item base of the pet tags and collars. Logically, all pet tags and collars added into the game would still inherit this mod's changes. Let me know how it goes. Also, something to take notice, I think, only newly acquired items are affected by this mod.

I wanna ask something. Does the mod works fine with essentials ? I can see essentials add some unique pet items that already have sockets and not sure how that affects the game. I hope no conflicts.

Doudley, I need a mergemod, We need a mergemod, which incorporates most of your mods in one mod. That would free up a significant number of my ten slots.

Aside the point: Jesus, it's 2017. Why are we still limited to ten mod slots?

I've removed both Synergies (God bless Salan, the genius m'fer) mods, and now using Path of Torchlight because New. I consider about 6 or 7 of yours to be essential, too, which I wish were condensed into one.

If only there were a tool, where the end-user could make mergemods easily.

Like, for dummies easily.

Apparently directly adding to TAGS.DAT is not possible. But I generated new tags to dictionary file of TL2TagFixer [clockworkcore.org] by Chthon. All you need to do is decompress mod in GUTS and copy text from statusbox (of decompression window) to new text file. This file will tell to TL2TagFixer what to fix, in selected Media folder. There is also option to “Parse all the things” where you select raw mod and it gather tags. You can also provide missing tag by just using all edits options of GUTS in one mod… tedious, I know – I found around 150 unused tags in “Unites”, “Level Rule Sets” and “Recipes”. About bugged tags like in “Path_Of_Torchlight_(Maps).mod” you still need to manually open bugged files, in text editor, and reinterpret tags by their positon and by manipulating them in GUTS… Compression process interferes with tag hashes and I don’t know why, neither how, but these bugs are repeatable somehow.

Fixing the TAGS.DATS would be wonderful, although just giving you a heads up, this missing tags issue not only happens to recipes. Most class mods have this issue too on their units' tags and I recently found out that affixes' effects can have missing tags too.

Thanks for original files, with them I have found what is wrong. So it seems that 1324415609 = MAKEMAGIC = setting "Force Magical" in RecipeEditor. In "Hash Calculator", included with "TL2 Tag Fixer", it seems like this calculated tag is correct. So then I had opened TAGS.DAT in Notepad++ and suprise-suprise, string for MAKEMAGIC is missing.. TAGS.DAT (at least one from STEAM) is outdated... I think that I'm gonna just manually update it and put it somewhere...

But yeah, I don't know why the game does not allow adding sockets to pet tags/collars either. Although if I let these items to be able to be, the game will not show the desired result. So to avoid confusion, I made the pet tags/collars' socket(s) maxed to their default/given number of sockets.

Hey Phanjam! Yes, a gamer named CycloneXL requested this mod to me, it is his idea and not mine that's why it is appropriate to give some type of credit. I also will fulfill Kheldarn's idea to let pet tags and collar be able to recycled into the same equipment type.

Is it possible to make the Transmuter work on Pet Tags and Collars? You give him, say, a random Pet Tag or Collar, and a random Fish, and he gives you a random Tag or Collar in return? Like the 2 Set Pieces > 1 Set Piece recipe?

Because of adding sockets is broken for these items, I decided to make all normal pet tags and collars to have 1 socket and maxed at 1, for magical: 1-2 sockets maxed at 1-2, for unique: 2-3 sockets and maxed at 2-3. Whereas, the one with the larger quantity is for the collar. So yes, they always roll with slot(s). And new socketables sound great!

I was surprised to find out that this is not possible for the pet's gears that's why I'm eager to make this mod as soon as possible.

Great stuff man :) hey do they always roll with slots? I was thinking of making some socketables for LAO III that boost pet hp/damage so they're not so squishy vs high level monsters
