SDK Error 65432 (Temp solution Post #14)
I can't playtest anything. The SDK works fine on its own, it compiles and such. The game on its own runs flawlessly. But I click "Test Mod" in the SDK, it compiles and then the XCOM Test Game won't run, it crashes immediately with Steam Load Error V:0000065432.

I'm in the process of doing a clean Steam/SDK/XCOM reinstall, for the 2nd time. At 5 hours a pop it's getting quite annoying. I won't be able to play test or create mods if the error is persistent after this reinstall.

I'll be honest, if it doesnt work after a clean slate, I'm abandoning modding entirely. This SDK is entirely too fragile. It doesn't even come preloaded with the DLC3 source code.

I'm also having the same problem. Game runs fine in normal mode, but crashes with this error message if I try to start it in debug mode through the sdk.

Am validating the sdk files in steam now, to see if that helps.

I'm still getting this error after

-Removing Steam entirely (includes XCOM2/SDK)
-Reinstalling everything

I don't have access to the test environement and red screen messages anymore. I have an annoying solution, it's to use the regular game after building and using `log instead of `RedScreen a lot. This is stupid, fix this.

Also, the non-verbosity of the error message really helps a lot.

I'm going to delete my Windows 10 profile and recreate a new one. What a pain.

Running SDK as admin doesn't work. I've sent 2K a report.

Avengerjfb, Jul 1, 1:02 PM EDT:
Since the DLC3 patch I am unable to run any compiled mod and playtest it. Steam refuses to launch the Debugger and provides this error. The XCOM 2 game works fine, and the XCOM 2 SDK compiles without problems or errors. The Startdebugger.BAT program also exits with error code 0. This is entirely from what it seems a Steam issue.

I've tried reinstalling everything from scratch, deleting all steam files, the issue persists. It also persists under other user accounts. I cannot find any detailed logs of this error, I would really like to have a more verbose error message than just this numbered error message. Thank you.

Hi, I was going to post about the same thing. I have the exact same error when I try to debug my mod. I tried validating the developer tool files and while it did update 7 files it didn't fix anyting. I was going to save uninstalling the game/mod tools as a las solution.

I also can't get the Xcom 2 Editor to run under the tools menu...it runs trough the splash screen loading files and always closes on a file called "foliage brush sphere material". Are you having this issue as well?

Please let the rest of us with the same issue know if you hear back from 2k :(

I had a lot of plans to make more items for the game but I'm not sure I can anymore.

Nothing yet. They dont have an excellent support group, I might have to reformat my whole machine to get it going and even then i'm not sure it'll fix the problem. In the meantime I will diagnose my mods using the original game after a build but I dont have access to the RedScreen errors so who knows what mistakes I made in the AI code i put in???? (And theres a lot trust me)

@ADVENT Avenger. I have exactly the same problem: "Application load error V:0000065432". And I had the exact same reaction as you: If every game update either breaks mods (like DLC 2 did) or causes more bugs, creating mods for this buggy game is just a waste of time.:steambored:
Time for me to take a break from modding.

PS: In case you didn't verify the game cache already, doing so (several times) didn't solve the problem for me, and frankly I don't want to waste more of my time reinstalling the SDK, just to have it broken again by the next update.

I got an answer from 2k they said to exit and relaunch steam. Looks like the support person took more time responding in character than reading my problem. I answered back, no news yet.

I like the part of how they absolutely don't read anything I type in.

I answered back that i reinstalled it twice, for a total of 54GB download and 6 to 8 hours.

Hello Avengerjfb,

I am sorry to hear that. One other thing that we can try is to would be to close Steam fully, go into your Steams install directory, back up the file ClientRegistry.blob to your desktop, and delete the one in the Steam folder. Reboot Steam, and try again.

If it still persists, we would recommend contacting Steam support for further assistance.

We are sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.
If you have any additional questions or concerns related to our 2K titles, do let us know and we'll be very happy to assist you further.

Kind regards,

Rogelio A.

Hi,

The XCOM 2 SDK refuses to launch the Test Mode game.

It returns a STEAM error.

Application failed to load : V:0000065432

Was working fine before the last DLC they released. 2K said to contact Steam support, please advise. At least 2 other modders are having the same issue, it's an application problem not a user problem.

Not sure if you guys have seen the Reddit thread about this? Has anyone figured out the solution to X2SDK's "Application load error: V65432"?. Someone there appears to have fixed it by using Run As Administrator.
Juravis 146 3 Jul, 2016 @ 9:14am
This is my desktop shortcut
steam://rungameid/299990
I cant change it to admin from there its not even a real executable.
Juravis 146 3 Jul, 2016 @ 9:20am
FIXED IT.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\Launcher\ModLauncherWPF.exe

Set this to run in ADMIN mode with a right click, properties.

I don't even get an error message, everything works fine except when I try to launch the editor to view the content browser and such it shows the splash screen and then after it reaches the point it should start it just closes, I've tried verifing, uninstalling, deleting mods and such, I am starting to think system restore would do the trick but my PC doesn't show any... have we ruled out this being a registry error ?
