ya u get that with the workshop been there done that, go to l4dmaps.com n dl campaigns from there, but be careful which one u get. I got burned more than once.

Go to Steam/SteamApps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/workshop/. Copy all the .vpk files in there one level up (Steam/SteamApps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons/). Delete the contents of the workshop folder. Unsubscribe to the workshop items.

That way it'll stop trying to update every time.

i get all of my addons from da workshop, i use mac

That doesn't delete them, read carefully. It just makes them not use the workshop anymore, and not try to update all the time. You will still have your addons.

I don't know if the folder structure is different on Mac, though.

if any of you know any modders, could you please ask them to make the map Dead Sand Elite for call of duty world at war zombies? it was one of my favourite maps, but could not get because i had it for ps3. Please ask if anybody can make the map, it looks awsome. Thanks
