How do i use mods?

OK i found a Arkham Asylum Mod For the Escapist and i don't know how to get it to go on the game to make it playable same for all my games like Jedi academy and games like AOE and AOM. Please help with simple words i'm not a computer wiz like all you guys lol

Well...
1. You go to the Steam Workshop, then on the Map/Mod you want to have.
2. Then you might see a big green 'Subscribe'-Button right under a few pictures, next to the name of the Mod/Map (Or you look for a green Plus somewhere)
3. Then you wait and make sure that all downloads on Steam are completed.
4. Now you start the game and go to the Map-Selection where you find Perks, Irongate etc. and look to the right. There you will see a pixelated Valve/Steam-Symbol with a blinking red tag in the upper right corner.
5. Press it.
6. Now you see the Downloaded Maps in front of you.
