revise map - Informations need
Hi DEVs,

i try to revise a map (Frankfurt am Main in germany), because some bases of units are strange imported from OSM, and some entrys from the bases to the right street also stange.

But there are so much dependences, i can not solve.

First:
the IDs of the elements should not be useable double, neither if the element are different types. It seem each ID can only use once, equal the elements are different.
I am right?
Okay, i find the last used ID, respectively a free ID (try with search), and use this ID, but no success, error and the game refuse to use.

Second:
One base has a strange entry to the right street, the calculated entry is to a far away street, although another street is closer.
This closer street is in the .xml-file of the map, several times.
I notice all way ids and all node ids of this street.
Than search for the node entry from this base and find them.
Now i try each wayid in the base entry and every target node id in the entry of the base node.
No success, always the units use the "old" way.

For your information:
- i delete the savegame in free play, befor i made changes
- i have disconected the steam cloud

It seems there are more dependences as i discover:
- regitration the desired wayid in the entry of the base
- regitration the target node-id (from this wayid-entry) in the nodeid-entry of the base
I am right or not?

Or:
is it to complexe to understand for a nonprofessional modder like me? :-))

One last idea i have, is, that this closer street has missing connections to the rest of the map, but i can not veriry.
That would explain the second problem.

But for the first problem, i have no idea.
What can i do, if i need a new ID, because its not a change, but a new addition?

Hi Holger,

I am a GIS programmer working for Jutsu Games.

Ad.1) In the 54th line in the '27418664.xml' file there is the 'no="11749"' tag, IIRC the map won't load if number of the waynodes doesn't match this number.

Ad. 2) I'm not sure. Send me your edited .xml file (kervyn@jutsugames.com), and give me the precise ID of the base - and I might be able to help you ;-)

Hi Mr.Pink,

i am some steps forward.

If i add a new station, its enough to find the next free number for the poi id, nothing more.
It works always.
But if i place the new station beside a definate street, the units can not drive really back to the station, they stop at the way back on the nearest point aside the station on a street.

If i change the place for an exist station, its enough to change the lon and lat, nothing more.
It works always.
But the same problem for way back as i add new station beside street.

So i am furthermore advance a view, that it must definate a dummy way from the exist definte street to the place of station in the backyard.
And this seems heavy, i am not on the way to find out how it works.
