Someone help
I contacted Sega support about this problem, they aren't very helpful thus far. One thing they mentioned seemed to POSSIBLY be the solution yet I can't figure out how to do what they suggested.

So my issue for starters is that when I try to use the Tile Editor and assign a texture to the only layer there, it gives me an error in the log and nothing seems to change in the World Builder. The error reads: can't open [data:art\scenarios\textures\tiles\mud.terrainmaterial] for reading.

It gives that error no matter which texture I try. It looks as if I'm simply missing the texture files? I contacted Sega support and they told me to verify cache, I did so twice. Didn't help. Then they said the problem is I needed to create a new layer in the tiles thing. Ok that seemed to be a possible solution, except there's no "create layer" button anywhere, I can't find a way to create another layer. SO... I'm about to give up here. I'm hoping you kind folks can explain how to properly use this World Builder. The Guide I tried to follow but when I got to the part where you place the tiles, it gave that error and I've been trying to figure it out ever since v.v

Any suggestions? :( I'm seeing folks post maps with textures so it seems like this is only me. Maybe someone can tell me where those texture files are located so I can try to find them, or perhaps zip them and give a dropbox link? (idk if that's allowed. if not, disregard)

I don't know but try running the software as admin.

In the WorldBuilder tool the Tile button goes into the ground texture option. I click on one of the + next to the folders and choose one, then click the assign button just above it and that changes the whole ground texture. Then I click the little green button to add another layer, select it, and choose a texture for that and assign it. Then I can just paint right on the ground with the new texture by left and right clicking.

Hiya thanks for replying. You might notice by the examples I'm linking there is no green button unless it's somewhere I'm not seeing. o.O

When I click on any of the tile dropdown buttons in the World Builder I see red Xs next to them and I get that error in the log.

It looks like some kind of scaling issue maybe with your resolution or something. I'm not sure. See parts of the button above the layers are also off to the side.

Here's how mine looks.

I am using multiple screens. I see your folders are red too and the textures have Xs. o.O What does that mean then, that the texture is not being used?

With Windows 10 there's a text/window resize option for monitors that can screw with programs. I'll test it out and see how that goes.

Yeah I think the red folders and x's means not being used. I also get the "Can't open" thing in my logs but the textures change so doesn't seem to be a problem.

Seems like regardless of Windows resize the world builder is cut up like that. I have no idea why that's happening.

I don't know but do you have a 4k monitor? A lot of software is kinda weird with the scaling on 4k monitors. I'd try a different screen resolution, or maybe change the DPI or other scaling options in your screen resolution options. That's the only thing I can think of, that it must be some kind of scaling with screen resolution or something that's affecting it.

Seems like it but I can't figure out what. Maybe if I try only one monitor?
My left is 1440p and my right is 4K. I tried setting both to 1080p but the window is still cut up like that :/

There's a slider in windows 10 for scaling. Maybe set it to 100%? I don't know though.

Hey there. I did try adjusting that slider before and no matter what I adjusted it to the application remained all cut up. :/

Edit: I'm still in contact with Sega support, I'm letting them know about the window being cut off to see if they can offer a solution

Update from Sega Support, they said after investigating this specific issue they concluded this problem is a thing and let the devs know. ^^ So hopefully it'll be patched soon.
