I just woke up and saw all of my guns are perfectly generic item :o It was best mod I have ever seen for starbound. Better than hugeass weapons game originally has and those details like reloading, bullet shells falling down from the weapon when you shoot. I cant belive removal of barrets armory too and I hope he did it for reuploading.
now how am I supposeto play starbound without awesom gunz :,c

I believe it was removed from the Mod repository on starbound's site as well, as I can't find it there.

Edit: Seems so. I wish I could've downloaded it before it got pulled.

He removed it from official starbound as well, and closed the mod thread with the comment "This mod has been removed and is no longer available for download.". I messaged him on his profile a while ago, am yet to recieve response.

I liked his mod. It gave us amazing weaponry with good mechanics (only pet peeve is that pistols were 2-handed) that were cool to use and packed a punch (the rocket launchers were AMAZING) while still being balanced. Now I have no guns that reach the level of goodness that Barrett's guns did. I hope he puts it back.

Will update on the situation if he responds.

A mod author who made a patch to allow crafting the guns offered to release a version he had, but idk.

Yes I did see it, but I wasn't sure if I should ask for it. I was thinking about asking for the files then upload them to a different file sharing site, but I am afraid that will count as stealing, so I'd rather not do it. I will ask for the files if interest in it rises.

UPDATE: Author responded to my comment saying that "his father did not like the modding because it didn't make money"... weird, but he said he'll get back to it in a month.

Modding is not a job its just for fun. I hope he ll back in a month with no problem. :c

Barrett's Armory is one of my 2nd favourite guns mod because I like its pistols.Now,all I had left is Lyira's Weapons.

MAJOR UPDATE: Authors account was seemingly deleted today.

However, against all odds, I managed to get a download link of the 1.1 version from amirmiked12, a modder who made a mod for Barrett's Armory making the weapons craftable. Thanks to him we can enjoy the weapons (albeit, in an older version) while we wait for the author of the Armory to, hopefully, return.[community.playstarbound.com] BE ADVISED, if you didn't use the 1.1 version, it still turns your weapons into generic items. The weapons are back, you just need to gather them anew.

This really sucks, Barrett's Armory was the best weapon mod I've ever seen, I just hope he re-uploads it, even if it gets no more updates :/
