Anyway, I had made a poll on the Klei forums of ONI, asking who's duplicant is the community's favourite, the results were very favourable to Meep. And actually, all the playable characters' name except Maxwell start with the W letter. Meep could fit since the M in his name can be considered as a reversed W.
If a playable duplicant had to be added to Don't Starve as a mod, I'd say the best powers of this duplicant would be a whole new list of craft, from slow but infinite tools to buildings (a space heater to allow plants to grow in winter for example, or to prevent the player from freezing), to wearable cloths (like a snazzy suit that gives 10/m of sanity except it requires a yellow gem and reeds), etc...the possibilities are quite large.
The downside would be the stress reaction depending of the sanity, for example if Meep's sanity had to be bellow 15%, it would begin to lower gradually by itself for -4/min until he destroys a building, giving back 30 points of sanity (because Meep has a destructive stress response).
Some items and buildings could be reskinned to fit the character's theme of ONI, like the science machine and alchemy engine being replaced by the research station and the super computer.
The revival has my blessing.
I'm not against reviving threads, I come across ideas I love all the time but can't comment on them because I missed the party.
So nobody ever worry about reviving this.
