Hey all,

I've noticed a couple people on various older mod pages asking about why a certain mod isn't showing up for them in their game or isn't able to be enabled. So, I thought I would address this in a way more people could see if they looked around the Workshop.

The reason for this is most likely: it's not updated to run on the version of Wayward you are currently using and/or there is an error in the modification.

We did not want to discourage modders from uploading a mod when they had no plans to maintain it, so we don't actively remove outdated mods in the Workshop. This is to encourage support for the mod so they may return to maintain it, or allow others to take over and update the mod themselves if no future support is planned.

To counteract the Workshop filling up with out-of-date mods, we have a "Featured" tag that we apply to all mods that can run on the current version of the game. You can find this listing by clicking here:

Or by navigating to the main Wayward Workshop page and clicking the "See all items tagged with Featured" button under the "Special Event Compatible Mods" heading.

I try to keep this section updated as I can, but if any new/updated mods slip through the cracks, just let me know!

At any point in time, you can also rollback your Wayward version to a version that works with any given mod. You can find out how to do this here:
